Arceus put the fossils there to play a prank on humans. According to Christians.

Once upon time, in the land of Hyrule.
Everyone was OK, and everything was cool.
Until the dark twat Jesus, appeard to yell:
"You better worship me, or you're goin' to hell!"

Not in riddle form:
We were all OK.
Religion started.
Everyone got into several bloody wars over who was right.

No religions are in the right, because they're all hypocrites. "Don't cheat, don't steal, and don't kill." Those are the basic rules of every religion, yet none of them follow it.

...We need a new thread for this. Does a topic about religion violate any of the rules? DX

How can any religion be any more correct than any other, when none have even a shred of reliable evidence?

Religion is just stupidity and brainwashing. No more, no less.
Well, aside from the cash it rakes in.

On topic: Squirtle.
I think Blastoise is pretty cool, and I like his more bulky, supportive playstyle.
That said, my favourite Gen I starter is actually Venusaur.

I never cared...

I just always picked who would be hardest to work with. I desired the challenge.

But I'm not sure who I chose back in the day, the last time I restarted I chose Charmander though.

I think Squirtle looked great, but seriously.... It's a turtle... Look what Mario could to turtles, and he didn't even have Pokemon to help!

Blastoise is a stronger pokemon than Charizard but i choose Charizard as water type pokemon are easy to capture in the game early on, but fire pokemon we have to wait for a lot of the game to be over to encounter wild fire pokemon, so id choose charmander to start training a fire pokemon early in the game as i can catch a grass and water pokemon fairly easily early in the game :)
