what about actual players who are ranked among the top 8 becoming new gym leaders of there own gym. new idea and wanting to know opinion of others.

I often thought that myself, also, will The Five be top players, admins, or NPCs?

How can that work? we need gym leaders to be on 24/7 than. What if one of them becomes a gym leader and barely shows up to take up challenges? Npc as gym leaders is more convenient for people since they can battle you whenever you want on your own time.

I don't like this idea much. There's already going to be tournaments/PvP/etc... Not to mention the technical questions this idea brings up:

-The player Gym Leaders won't always be on. (Like Victory said)

-Gym Leaders are designed to be beaten, whether from type advantage, item usage or level. If the PU Team gives the rights of a Gym Leader to an intelligent player (someone who will use items, know what attacks are super/not very effective, switch out Pokemon) then the chances of any other player reasonably having a chance are greatly lowered.

-Besides, who's to judge the top players on their...toplyness? Who would want to be a Gym Leader? Sitting around all day waiting for people to come in and fight doesn't sound very fun.

Those Gym Leader characters aren't made for being played by humans.

Well i totally agrre with Kuhns.Being Gym Leader is kinda...Boooring.And if that  person  is a kinda busy person wont be online regularly and thus disadvantaging the trainers who wanna battle 'em
