Well, it seems like that's as good as it's gonna get.
'Done.' He span on his heel and made his way to the drill hall. 60 men stood to attention in ranks of 3, none of them waivered as he walked up and down, inspecting. They'd been well disciplined, he'd expected less from a rag-tag group of rebels. In the end, he picked the 25 who looked the least well trained. He wanted men who could use their initiative, not robots.

I looked at one of my best soldiers.
If he does any thing to undermine my control of this army, kill him and feed him to the pigs.
Sir.
Guss was about to leave the room.
Wait a sec, Wake Kain and tell him I would like to talk.
Sir.
Guss left the room and I sat down, I had 2 years to catch up on.

Calx was laying on his back, looking up at the sky.
Wasting time will get you killed
He Immediately stands up and begins to climb again.
The thrill in playing a game does not come from our chances of winning. It is the weight and pressure of losing that fuels our fascination. It is why people challenge, why they gamble and why they compete. The adrenaline that comes from defying defeat is what motivates us.

Stefan started thinking. How far were they gonna be going? He wanted some type of vehicle if they were going far. Creeping out of hiding, he found a road. It was more or less empty, aside from the pair of headlights off in the distance. He drew his colt and hid in a nearby bush. He wouldn't be killing anyone, but he certainly wanted them to be afraid.

As the vehicle approached, Stefan jumped out of the bush, pointing his revolver at the driver's seat.
"GET OUT! GET OUT OF THE DAMN CAR!"
The driver stepped out, hands behind his head. Stefan immediately recognized him. It was the Omnicide executive that had spoken at the execution. He remembered the dead bodies. He remembered Astrid's mental state.
Whipping the executive across the face with his Colt, he motioned for Astrid to come over.
"Howdy, there, mistah' Omnicide. I'm sure you know me, though you may not know Astrid here. She knows you, though. You took something pretty valuable away from her."
Astrid was staring at the man. Shaking. She wasn't scared anymore, she was angry. Very, very angry.
"...You... You FREAK! How could you do that to another human being!? How could you do that to TEN people!? You killed them! You killed my family, you MONSTER!"
She slugged him in the gut. To a fit man, a little girl hitting them in the stomach wouldn't be much. To a TV show executive? It was like getting hit by Mike Tyson. He gasped and stumbled back, falling over the guardrails at the road's edge. Off a cliff. Into the water. Or, rather, into the rocks that were jutting out of the water. The two of them approached the railing, looking at the bloodstain where he'd impacted with the rock. The ocean had already carried him away.
"...Time to go."
Stefan got in the driver's seat of the car. It was a nice one. Lamborghini. About as inconspicuous as an elephant in a K-mart. When Astrid got in the passenger side, He backed it into the woods, carefully avoiding any trees or particularly sharp rocks. This thing wasn't an offroader.

Looking up at the mountain, Stefan saw Calx making his descent.

Calx slides down the last 100 meters, and stares at the car.
"LamborghiniMurcielagoLP640luxurymodelhandmadeestimatedatfivehundredthousandamericandollars."
He peers over that the girl, and the hand she was holding with her other caught his eye.
"Punch with your thumb on the outside of your fist. You'll break it yourself if you don't..." he mumbles, as he goes back to gnawing his thumbnail.

"East..." he states matter-of-factly, as he jumps in the backseat of the car, and immediately begins to dissasemble his pistols.

'Alright lads! We're off to the armoury to get us some weapons. My name is Deccers, and as of now, I'll be reassuming my rank as Staff Sergeant!'
'We already know your name... er... sir.'
'WHAT!?' He shouted next to the outspoken man's face.
'Well... we've.. er.. that is sir... we've seen you on television.'
Deccers was dumbstruck. He'd completely forgotten that the Omnicide Games were world-wide entertainment. Presumably they'd seen the escape, his face would be all over the news.
'Riight... Anyway, this way.'

"Right. East. Nice and specific."
Stefan pulled out of the trees, moving the car to the appropriate lane.
"We're... We're headed for that city?"

Halt! You can't be here!
The guards outside the armory weren't letting Deccers into it.
You must have Rex's permission to enter, and I don't see any! Leave or I will shoot you!
I was watching on the cameras to see how Deccers would handle this...

Calx rolls his head as he peers at the megalopolis in the distance.
"What else is interesting in the east? i have someone I need to find there."

Deccers smiled at the guy, just to put him off a little. It was time to use his new-found fame to use.
'Do you know who I am?'
He raised his pistol, sure, it wouldn't work out here, but the guard wouldn't know that. With a flick of his thumb, the safety was deactivated.
'You could give the order to shoot. But I think you'd regret it. Think a little, consider your situation, you're new to the whole gun thing. But me? I've trained with the best.'

That was enough, I was not going to lose any of my men. I hit the loud speaker button and started talking.
Let them pass. They have my permission.

Stefan had a thought.
"...Dude, are there TVs back there?"
He looked back. There was a collapsible TV attached to the roof of the car. He hit the breaks.
"We're switching seats."

The guard stepped aside.
'That wasn't so hard was it?'
He entered the pitifully small armoury. Sure, the place had loads of spikey stuff, but that wasn't what floated Deccers' boat. He made his way to the firearms.
'One rifle! One pistol! Eight mags each! Get your arses moving!'
