Japanese 8.8 Earthquake.
« on: March 11, 2011, 11:16:34 PM »
I could cry. I'm not actually joking. I feel so sorry for them! The BEST, yes BEST country in the world, has been destroyed. If that Nuclear Plant explodes then...Bye bye japan. It'll be a remake of World War 2! Think of all them inocent people! Drowned and crushed, and if it does explode....Who knows? I personally don't want to even think what devastation that would cause.

I'm going to post these pictures, and I want YOU to think about it.

Thanks for reading.

A power plant is not a nuclear bomb. While a melted reactor may cause radioactivity in an area, it wont blow up the whole country, or a whole city.

Please show some respect to the incident. The worst things are the aftershocks and the tsunamis also hitting other places in the world as well as other places in Japan.

As stated by Baka, a meltdown of the nuclear powerplant will not cause as much damages as a nuclear bomb would do but it would still cause major pollution within a specific area, that is why they have evacuated people in a 10km radius around the powerplant.

The earthquakes is not what kills most people in Japan, they are used to earthquakes and knows how to take it calmly, however an earthquake of this magnitude is something they are not used to, just be glad the earthquake actually hit outside the shores and not in the mainland because that would have been bad. The tsunamis, or rather floods however is what has killed many people, they suspect several thousand dead and still now I think they have a confirmed number at 1000. Several people are also missing and wounded.

The Japanese government has been working hard to make safe zones and rescue operations to find the missing people, this is great, and I myself have made sure the people I talk to in Japan are okay, and they are.
