Random Pokemon

I have always thought the idea of being given a random pokemon as your first pokemon would be really cool as the all the trainers in the TV show or even look at the other trainers you meet in the pokemon games they all have different pokemon not everyone has the standard Grass/Water/Fire startes that are given at the start of the games, it would be cool to have an option at the begining of the game and you can choose if you want to ge given something random or choose the regular Fire/Water/Grass pokemon (or whatever you folks are giving out at the starter)

Even if you are given something like a Caterpie yeah ok its a week pokemon to start with but you will have a Butterfree by lvl 10 and its really good at low lvls and before you know it you will have new pokemon anyway, but the point im making is it would be alot of fun to just be given something random

just have the pokemon that are given out randomly come from a predetermined list so you aint gonn be given something like a charazard or dialga to start lol

coding for it is really easy to and not very long as long as the list of pokemon that are predetermined are already there.

anyone else think this would be a fun way to start an adventure?

I"m pretty sure there will be no other starters than the water/grass/fire, starters.  As for a random starter, I'm not really a fan I would never ever be slightly swayed to use it.

it would be fun but it would make the game take longer than it already is
