Hm, as someone who has taught a course on dragon lore in college I think I might have some insight on this...

I think you can consider Gyarados a dragon-like Pokemon since it somewhat resembles Ouroboros and other Asian dragons which had long sinewy bodies who could fly (this was before Rayquaza which is obviously has the closest resemblance to the Ouroboros/Midgard Serpent). Also, both Gyarados and Asian dragons share similar facial features especially with the whiskers and headpiece.

Charizard can definitely be considered a dragon-like since it's form greatly resembles Germanic dragons the most (i.e. breathes fire, has wings, can fly, bad temperament, long tail, etc.) , even more so than some actual Dragon type Pokemon (e.g. Garchomp).

So I think both can definitely be considered dragon Pokemon. Although whether we should use them as signature Pokemon is another matter entirely.

pokejmaster1, i never said try to make it official, I said to ask and see what people think. It's a creative idea, yes, but the entire guild has to agree.

But not everyone likes dragons. If you want, you can be the guilds dragon trainer, and if you have extra, if any other members want them, you can trade them for pokemon to get more dragons by trading outside the guild.

Such a nifty idea! I concur with Leader (may I call you Leader? or would Head Knight be the better title?) It would be an interesting and unique position to have in the guild.
