Translators Availables
« on: March 31, 2011, 09:58:49 AM »
Howdy happy development team,
We, a friend and I, want to offer ourselves to to translate the game from english to spanish, that might help to spread the word and make it international.

What do you say?

I kind of disagree with this idea because there's normally a "translate this page" function at the top of the browser when it's in a different language.

I think we're talking about more than just the PU website sir.

No, as Kamaran says, we (Zerma and I) are offering our help to translate the game into spanish, not the website.

Pokemon Universe is an open source mmo. Hence, all translations and so on are done in the code itself. Since we mainly work on the English version, I don't believe we have any plans to run a spanish server.

However, that does not stop you from being able to translate the game. You may create a branch project, and release a spanish version of the code. But obviously, that will have to be maintained by you.

The thrill in playing a game does not come from our chances of winning. It is the weight and pressure of losing that fuels our fascination. It is why people challenge, why they gamble and why they compete. The adrenaline that comes from defying defeat is what motivates us.
