Starter Pokemon

<< < (2/2)

Impwadman:
I beleive that the layout of this game will be much like the actual pokemon games. I don't think you will be able to catch other starters after you haw started the game. You will most likely have to trade with another player to receive another starter. Overall, you I'll be able to somehow obtain anothe starter by trading, but you will not be able to catch another one.

ghandor:
mmm, but i find it odd that the starters are so easy to find that they give them away to new trainers but they are soooo rare that they can be found nowhere else in pokeland. its one thing >>>CENSORED OPINION ON ORIGINAL GAMES<<< but they should still be catchable somewhere (just lower chance of encounter to reflect so many are given away ... ie starters have common status but are extremely rare to find because they are used as starters).  yes trading is an option but the pokemon phrase "gotta catch 'em all" should mean it is remotely possible to catch them all.

spirit:
the professors know of, and have access to, a secret island where the starters roam free. this is why you don't see them in the wild, but the professors have an abundance of them.

...either that, or they are an endangered species and the professors hold them in storage in the back of their labs and force them to mate with one another

Jerry:
There is a thread about that.

Conclusion, the other starters will be available, but not quite that easily since they will be well hidden.

Draagn:
I wish they could make some of the other pokemon into starter pokemon. But I know they wont it will just be the usual pokemon.
