Let's Merge our Resources

Hi, I noticed that everyone is starting their own guild or are waiting to join a guild, but I wanted to extend a hand of friendship and ask those players who are going to be serious and dedicated in the game to join the Pokemon Knights.  This isn't about who has the power, this is about helping each other move forward and putting great minds together to achieve common goals. Unless you think you are truly better than every other player on here and know more than everyone else why not just merge our resources before the game and create an amazing guild.  We all are dedicated and have joined the game before it has even started, so why not get us all into one place. I take pride in my leadership skills and have put a lot of time into playing the pokemon games, but that doesn't mean I know every last thing there is to know about different move sets, how to most effectively battle, and so on.  It's always good to have a plethora of people to put their ideas in and I think its a waste to spread so many great people out just because they want to be the leader of some guild.     

The Pokemon Knights are currently working on a squad system that will really set us apart from other guilds by really using the team system to move players forward.   If you think you have what it takes you should post your ideas in the Pokemon Knights forum and start a squad of your own within the guild.  It's better to get as many dedicated smart players in one place as possible as opposed to spreading talent out across the board in many guilds.  Even those of you who have already started a guild should consider merging your guild with the Pokemon Knights. 

To wrap this all up, we all joined before the game started, and we all are going to be some of the best players in the game.  Why not have us all in one place as opposed to spread out?

So.... why should we have guilds then? Since everyone is going to be in the same one.

New guilds will immediatly be created once the game starts by people who weren't paying attention to the forums, but that should be their loss not ours.  We are all dedicated to the game before it even starts. Why make it harder on ourselves when we can all reward ourselves by taking advantage of an opportunity that is only given to those who were in these forums before the game started. For us individuals who are here now, why not work together?   Obviously there are those of you who have helped create the game and you are already going to have a huge advantage, but why not share some of your knowledge with the dedicated people who are following your progress, and care enough to keep interest in this game?

We could always have the guilds we're currently in, and just form alliances with other guilds. So say for example the elemental elites formed an alliance with the pokemon knights, they could become The Elemental Knighs or the Pokemon Elites.

Thats true, but either way I think we should all work together since we all care enough to be here in the forums before the game is out.  I'm assuming we all believe that more people are going to join than just the people who are in the forum right now so for all of us who care here lets help each other out.  Especially those who are creating this game, it would make sense for you to help us players who are in these forums and are putting our faith and support in you.  No need to get a god complex since the game is most likely going to be huge, so help out all of us who are here now and care enough about the game to comment about it and share ideas.

I agree that we should work together, but for a guild like that, you couldn't have one leader, you would need a council or something similar.

 An interesting idea, but I am opposed to it. I see your point though, as you are only trying to create something amazing. The problems I have with it though are as follows:

- I like to be in a Guild that has the least possible restrictions, and endless possibilities. I find the idea of having an organized, military based Guild fun, but I wouldn't want to be part of it. I like to do things at my own pace, meaning do what I want, when I want, and that's what I'm offering to everyone in Fruit's Punch. As long as they follow the 3 rules I have set - which I believe is not really placing a huge toll on the members - they can do what they want. Same with the other Guilds, I have no problem with them, but I created a different Guild anyways.

- If all the dedicated players will gather in one place, where will be the rivalry? There can be rivalry in a Guild, but with a Guild that massive, tensions are bound to rise higher, and possibly would lead to inner conflict, which would pull apart the Guild. Also it is more fun if there are more Guilds that are worth something, than if there is a Hegemony.

- Like Mr_Dark said, there would be little to no point in having Guilds. It would be like a Mountain compared to smaller Hills. I don't know about you, but I don't like winning all the time. It's more fun to overcome a failure than simply walking on success all the time. There would be of course some newly formed Guilds that are created for not paying attention to the forums, wanting to have a Guild with real life friends, or just for the challenge of building one from scratch, but disregarding that, most people would join the already existing Number One Power in the game.

- And to end it with something irrelevant: I like the name Fruit's Punch better.

I see your point, but perhaps even if we have seperate guilds, we could all work together and have alliances during the beginning of the game so that we can have worthwhile rivalries.  In other words everyone is going to start out the same, but some people are working on building and testing the game and have way more knowledge than other people.  I have a feeling that the game creators are going to create their own exclusive guild, but perhaps they would be willing to help us out simply because of our early interest in the game. 

I'm hoping that we can all work together early on so that people don't feel left out even though they have been looking forward to this game for a long time.  If the game creators have their own exclusive guild it would take some of the fun of creating our own guilds because everyone will just want to join their guilds.  What it comes down to is that I'm hoping that we will all help each other out early on so that we have worthwhile rivalries later.  And I think we should reward ourselves for taking the time to talk to each other and learn about the game ahead of time.

SirRed, ambitious as always. it is a good concept, but the flaws are to big to ignore. Let's get ourselves organized first before starting alliances, and let the developers perfect the game. Who knows, some things could be changed during the pre-beta test

 SirRed, I have no objections with cooperating with one another, I just stated why I wouldn't merge Fruit's Punch with the Pokemon Knights or any other Guild. A rivalry is not friendship, but it is still an important bond that should be maintained. I believe we both agree there.

What we can all agree on is that we all want to work toward strong rivalries.  Lets do everything we can now to get to know each other so that we can keep in contact during the game and help each other for a strong start.

That sounds like a good idea.  You should message Mr_Dark about that.
