Like/Dislike - Good/Bad - Thanks/Groan - +/-

I think there should be an option to Like/Dislike (or any other option in the title) someones post or thread that would contribute to the amount of stars on your profile, because it's one thing to post 10 times a day and have all those post be pointless and another thing to post 1 post a day and contribute to PU or help other members out.

Made this as a idk idea of how it would be

It's over 9000!

You're very talented. but then this would be more like facebook than a forum area. I don't think we need more sites like facebook, one is enough, and twitter is even pushing it.

I think a reputation system should be implemented and get rid of the whole "star" thing.  Basically with reputation the community decides a user's rep. either by giving pos. rep. or neg. rep.  if one were to look on the narutofan forums, you can see what I mean.

Never been on a naruto forum but i do see what you mean and stars could be used as rep, iv'e seen it implemented and worked perfectly on other forums.................... when you move your mouse over the stars it would tell how much rep you have in points

We had something like that once, but people gave out bad rep for no reason which kinda ruined the purpose.

Yea that's one problem but if you groan it shouldn't add negative rep as the rep you currently have you earned by posting something of importance so instead it should just show up on the post that was groaned to inform whoever reads it that it is probably an inaccurate post

it wasn't a good system kammy, you guys never really wanted to refine it, just took it away, I'm sure there is a way to disable it on admins/staff. Also, it could be made for the user themselves to disable to rep system so they can't be affected with rep either way.

edit: also another problem was the fact that the old rep system showed a number, which could be considered bad in one's eyes but if instead of a number it showed a bar that lets say was blue in the positive aspect and red in the negative aspect, it would help ease the "pain" of being negatively repped, in fact some people may want the neg rep because it looks better in their opinion.
