I kind of liked Reafer's idea about connecting achievements to items that could be used in the guild houses.

Achievements shouldn't be a chore that you need to do in order to unlock content. They're something you strive towards and achieving that goal is reward enough, as genbor mentioned.

No one said this had to be a chore, in the end this is just a suggested idea that can be ignored. I just was expanding on his idea, but it's not like we are demanding anything we just want to throw ideas out there, maybe part of it is good enough to expand on and the rest can be dismissed.

However, is somebody wants a particular item, then the achievement turns into a quest with the reward being that item. Achievements are there for the sake of achievements, and I don't believe they should be required in order to obtain things. Opinions may differ though, I'm not here to insult anyone's ideas.

I just wonder; How many achievements there will be once a system is put into place? I know there will be a LOT since Pokemon has so many generations and things to do, but I still wonder how long it will take to 'catch them all' (I know lame and corny :P)

There would be a lot, which is certainly not a bad thing. I would be willing to help compile a list of achievements.
