I glanced at Shark. Smart kid. Especially thinking like that in a situation like this.
"Maxwell, Shark's right. Try it."

I grabbed Calvin's wrist, and waited to feel the sign of life. He was so thin, but I couldn't detect anything. Or maybe my heart was beating too fast for me to find anything. I was shaking all over.

Shark, come over here and try, I'm going to go back to the ghost.


I stepped away from Calvin, grabbed my torch, then went to get rid of the spirit. Maybe Shark would be calmer for this.

I kept jabbing as Shark and Maxwell switched places. This wasn't the time for me to get distracted, not when we're fighting for our lives like this.

I nodded and switched places with him. I could just barely remember how to do it, I put two of my fingers on a certain place on his neck, and I felt a pulse, it was low but thats normal if someones asleep.

He has a pulse, so I think he's okay! I might have to watch him though, a ghost might get him!

I heard Shark call that Calvin was okay.
"Well, that's good. But now, we need to find a way to drive off this ghost. We can't fight it forever."

I started thinking hard, I had to think quickly, because if we cant get rid of the ghost, then we're screwed! Then an idea popped into my head, it always worked int he movies. I took two sticks and a vine and i put it all together to make a cross, then I put it on fire and swing it around in front of the ghost and the ghost seems to be getting weaker.

I stared as shark swung the fiery cross around.
"Where'd you get THAT idea from?"

I noticed Shark do something, he mad a cross, but then set it on fire.

Get rid of it now! It won't help us here! Calvin even said this is hell!

I remembered Calvin's words that even if we had torches, we would still be in danger.

"He's right, shark. Calvin's been here longer than any of us. He told us this place is a limbo, or hell. I don't know that a cross will be much help here...."

Okay *stops swinging* any other idea's?!

"Well, maybe we can't drive it off, but if we can keep it outside the ring of light, we can survive until Calvin wakes up."

I have one, but it may not work.

I brought out my Houndoom. It was ready to attack the ghost.

Houndoom, don't! Use flamethrower on the fire behind you! Make the flames as big as you can! Everyone, keep attacking while he does that!

Houndoom let out a huge flame from his mouth, intensifying the fire. Calvin said Pokemon flam won't work, but what if they were combined with real fire?

With one hand still jabbing at the ghost with my torch, i reached down with my other.
"Charmander! Help houndoom!"
I release my charmander, and it begins helping Houndoom enlarge the fire.

Hmmm... so fire can ward away ghosts... what if we made some kind of torch circle out of branches from the ground?

Then I remember her saying something about hell.

By the way, who are you people again?

Then I see his Houndoom intensify the fire and the fire almost hits me. Then I see Charmander.

Whoah! I didnt know you had a pokemon!.... hmmmmmm

I take out a pokeball and call out a Pichu

You think Pichu might be able to help in any way?

"Maybe...wait, I got it! leave the ghost to me, and start arranging branches in a circle around this area, then have ur pichu use its lightning to light them on fire!"
"oh, and we can go over who we are, where we are, and whats going on, once we're safe."
