Player Houses

I know this idea has been suggested, I never saw whether player houses where going to be in the game or not. I have an idea for how they can be implemented.

 There could be a specific area on each island with a certain number of small houses, large houses, and extra large houses (The extra large are only purchasable by guilds as a guild house).
now to have these houses you have to pay rent in the form of in-game currency.

I have never participated in a house discussion so i dont know what the current suggested theory is.

But the problem with yours is the amount of houses you would need. So far there are 50000+ people registered for this site. Now assuming not everyone is going to play of course, there is at least a couple thousand that will play. And the majority of those players will want their own house. So you would need thousands of ingame houses. Which would be too much to handle.

If I'm right, they are planning apartments from the mayor city to have your own place there.

wow 50,000 didn't realize that many where registered, in that case a setup more like Free Realms would make sense, where the houses and such are on a different play field than the game world, and you can invite friends and guild mates over to your house.
