I think that post was a little OP. You can randomly summon a skeleton from beneath a tavern at will? No gathering parts to build a minion, no finding a dead body to resurrect, just automatically summon two skeletons? Have you played any game with a necromancer that can do that?

Never use wikipedia for a fictional thing. Anything can be in there. I'm following the Oblivion Mod, Mysterious Mr. Bear's Epic Necromancy, which is fun, but you needed to gather parts to build minions.

You shoud know, necromancy is more poowerful on a full moon but you still need parts and such.

Or find anything that can house a soul. Puppets are a viable type of minion.
