I've been making some considerations for a while. And what I usually notice is that the IRC-chat is basically dead. Aside from the ones who are there by standard. I myself usually forget about this chat myself. Our other chat-option so far has been the PO server. This server happens to crash for me a lot leaving me in the chat room without anyone answering, and not even warning me that the server went off-line for me.
I would say, skype could be a nice feature for chatting, as it is always possible to contact someone. All we need are names and add them to a group chat.
So if you are interested, just post your skype name here. =)
