I've always been wondering.. WHY would you use last.fm. Dunno but somehow I prefer to download buy ::) my music, so I have it on my network share.

The point of using last.fm from my pov is to find new music.
It looks for similar band that you listen to and recommend them to you.

Anyway I posted my page in the other thread but here it is again.

I never listen to music on last.fm :3 I just use it to fill my last.fm library with the music I listen to so I can get recommendations for new bands and events. Also for the interesting top-lists it generates. I ofc also download/buy all my music. If you just use last.fm to listen to music you can never actually choose what you want to hear :-\

I almost never listen to music off of the Last.FM site, I only do so when I want to sample something new, and see if I like it or not. Any other time I have the scrobbler in the background monitoring whatever I listen to on my PC. That way I can gather stats and maybe even find some new groups, ect.
