local delicacies
« on: January 03, 2010, 08:33:58 AM »
this thread is for sharing some of your local delicacies which are rarely found anywhere else!

here's one delicacy of the philippines:

balut

it is a fertilized duck or chicken egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside. it is boiled then eaten. popularly believed to be an aphrodisiac and considered a high-protein, hearty snack. mostly sold by street vendors in the regions where they are available. They are often served with beer. BALUT!

McDonald's

Are rare substance of beef/chicken or something else that has been frozen for decades and then restored with fries and coke.

This "meal", as some call it, can only be found around 10 million places on the planet earth.

Have a happy meal :)

(please note that this is a joke and keep it serious please) ^^

whoopie pies,

Essentially similar to a burger, only the buns are chocolate cakes and the innards in between the buns is vanilla frosting

That looks so nice... :3

It is, but be careful when eating them. When they're hot you'll burn your mouth.
