Fallout: New Vegas
« on: April 09, 2010, 10:16:02 PM »
I'm so happy that there will be a new fallout game sometime in Fall 2010.

Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7xME0aFbC4

The trailer looks awesome. Fallout: New Vegas is a "sorta-kinda sequel" to Fallout 3, and has improved graphics, new gameplay mechanics, and more variety. As seen in the teaser, I think robots will be more common sight and under control more than the wasteland had. Also, not only will the massive New Vegas be explorable, but also the desert wastelands and settlements around it. If you notice in the trailer, the soldier you see has a number on his helmet... a 7 to be exact. Also, he is wearing a pip-boy, if that makes you giggle inside.

I stole some info from another forum I used to go lol

Story info:
The player will play as a courier, who was left to die in a shallow grave, rescued by a TV Robot  named Victor, and patched up by a Doctor Mitchell. Thank you Wiki  :)

I can't wait for this game  ;D

Definitely looking forward to the new Fallout game.  Not so sure about how good it's going to be though.  I'm hoping with a little nudging from Bethesda, Obsidian will be able to produce something relatively decent.  I doubt it will be better than Fallout 3 though.

I'm looking forward to it. Fallout 3 was the first game I had all the achievements for on my 360 (I still have all of them with the new content), and I still own Fallout 1 and 2. So, it's a no-brainer I will be buying this game.

I enjoyed Fallout Vegas for a long time.  Now it's just kind of getting dusty.  I thought that the casinos were quite fun, but hated it that you could get kicked out.

Is New Vegas worth getting?

My brother played Fallout 3 fanatically all of last year and I may but it for his birthday. He actually bought a Power Helmet or what ever they are called in real life  ;D

fallout 3 was kinda lame, on the second play through anyone can beat the game in 2 hours making the side quests the real plot.

As for new Vegas they changed it. plenty of side quest but the main quest is very extensive and there are many options for the ending. however the game only offers new quest and a new map and monsters. theirs no real new items skills or things to do different to your char.

its more of a massive expansion pack like mother ship zeta and such than a stand alone. i recommend it to people who have never played fallout or really love the game (players who are on the path to being a fallout die hard).
