Quests & Plots / [Quest] Dying Flame. (Easy)
« on: February 13, 2010, 03:04:54 AM »
Quest Difficulty Info: This quest is simple, and quick. Basically a starter quest.

Starting Location: Near a starter area.
Items needed: Potion.
Level requirements: none.

Description: As your exploring a small town you see and old man pacing back and forth frantically. When you talk to him he talks to you and tells you that his granddaughter went out nearby into a patch of grass looking for wild pokemon to study when all of a sudden it started raining. He says that she's been researching pokemon for sometime now, but that the area gets a little swampy when it rains so he's worried.

*Quest accepted*

So you go looking around to what ever direction he points in, and after not so much looking, you find the girl. You talk to girl  and ask her if she's alright, and she says she is but that there's a very weak charmander (almost at a fainted state). She was observing it when all of a sudden it started raining, and so she's been trying to cover it from the rain so it's flame doesn't go out. You tell her that her grandfather is worried sick about her and that she should get back to town. She refuses and says she won't leave until she knows charmander will be ok.

So basically if you have a potion with you, you use it on Charmander so that he'll become strong enough to find shelter of his own. If you don't, then you've got to walk back into town and buy one at a pokemart.

After you go back and use it on Charmander he becomes strong enough to find shelter on his own, and the girl thanks you and says that her grandfather will reward for helping the weak charmander.

You go back and talk to the grandfather and he thanks you for bringing his daughter safe and sound, and that he heard about how you saved the charmander. He says that he doesn't have much to reward you, but he gives you advice on how to make yourself stronger.

REWARD: Player lvl experience.

So tell me what you think :]

the idea seems good, and the quest seems long and difficult (which isn't a bad thing).

The only thing is; you go in when you have lvl 40 pokemon, and you've got to battle lvl 50's all the way to lvl 100's ? I doubt this quest is for people with lvl 40 pokemon then, or you're going to have to keep the lvl range the same. Cuz I'm sure a lvl 46 can hardly kill a 55(even with the advantage of having the better type).

Unless there's a way to heal your pokemon, then I'm pretty sure 1 of the 8 (or more) will fail this quest. (unless you stock on items before you come in).

and lastly this quest is going to take a hella long time if all 8 people have to pass thorugh different doors. Someone might go AFK when close to finishing or disconnect, ect, and everyone has to suffer by failing the quest ?

those are just some questions.

This Could be a quest about the 2 legendary pokemon latias and latios the But in this one evil Trainers trying to capture them for evil work

  • The evil trainers have captured Latias And Latios in evil Dark Balls
  • You have to go through a 5 star mission and will be available for only the best of the best

you have to go through a number of caves controlled by the evil Team SoulCatchers

3 main caves which have different abilities(e.g. taking life off your pokemon every set time

  • Poison Cave(Guess by the name the side effect of this cave)
  • Flash Cave(Pitch Black Cave only the HM flash can light it up)
  • Slumber Cave(No side effect BUT the legendary pokemon Latias and Latios are here with Team SoulCatcher's Leader Pharos(you have to face the boss in the last room)

there will be no Grunts in the first cave only in the second and third cave(Pharos will have 3 Pokemon Crobat,Latias and Latios

i think team SoulCatcher should be a gang on the game that pops up every now and again
with special missions with one of the legendaries available for capture
Please comment i will add more

Well first off, legendarys are un-catchable in PU. Period.
Two, this quest gives me no motivation to even attempt to do it. You didn't really name the award, or anything.
and Third, what is a "star mission" ?

Positives: I like how you created a new name for an evil team, and how you thought of 3 different effective caves. Anyways I feel like you should elaborate more on this quest if you want it to be accepted.

Ideas & Suggestions / In Game Pokemon Moderators
« on: February 11, 2010, 11:58:58 PM »
So with every MMO comes thousands of players, and of course they'll find ways to cheat other players; others are just completely rude, and we all know that this MMO is going to attract the younger kids more than anyone else. Anyways it's always important to keep PU safe for everyone, although I doubt there are going to be creepers in the game; again you never know.

So I'm just wondering if the game becomes too big, and there are many complaints; too many to keep up with and fix/handle; will the PU team make some players in the game moderators to deal with such things ?

Game Features / Re: pokemon follow trainer
« on: February 11, 2010, 11:19:20 PM »
This has already been discussed that pokemon will only follow you in certain small ereas of the game. It won't be out for a while though, so don't expect to see it.

Plus I personally feel like that's a tad pointless, and a waste of time to make all the sprites when PU can use their time for something more important.

Anyways the only advice I can give you is to read through the ideas thread and use the search bar before posting anymore ideas.

Quests & Plots / Re: The Shiny Pokemon Quest!
« on: February 11, 2010, 04:44:11 AM »
This is a good idea, but you should change the reward. It would make it way too easy to get shiny pokemon and they would no longer be rare...

I agree, an island filled with shiny pokemon is too easy. Unless it's an island that's really hard to get to, and when you do get there, the rate of actually encountering one of these pokemon was really low.

Otherwise shiny pokemon aren't going to be worth showing off in an MMO, and everyone will try to get one.

I think you have a pretty good story line so far.
I don't have much to say except I guess I'll wait for the key quests to be up.

So then after you enter the dark realm, you're basically looking for Darkrai right ? orrr ?
What else will be in there ?

Ideas & Suggestions / Re: Learn moves from friends
« on: February 11, 2010, 04:26:14 AM »
Sorry dude I dont like this idea very much.

Next time please specify what you don't like.

Although as the others are saying, it's true. The lazy people would just want to trade their friends for the better moves, or pay for them. It kind of takes out the point in raising the lvl of a pokemon. (besides for stats of course)

« on: February 11, 2010, 04:22:23 AM »
wow thats not a bad idea if mr dark has any problems with it I bet it would be that he doesn't want to do that for every move

I'm sure Mr_Dark can speak for himself Draagn...

problem:
the fights in GB games are extremly simple.

when your playing an MMO, those fights CANT be that easy they are in GB games. why? we havnt got equippement. so every pokemons of the same type got nearly the same stats. so how decide who will win the fight?

one thing i would LOVE:
your against equipping pokemon. thats right, it would be absolutely against the poke-philosophy! Your against talent trees. ok.
what about 'to train attacks?' In TV series trainers are training attacks to be more effective and stronger. what abot to add such a thing in the game? i thought about:

bosses like, heroic/master gym leader, if you want to implement such a thing, , or they can be bought in malls or be won in tournaments!:
items that say:
increase the damage of the attack by 1%.

its an item that can be used on every attack, and will increase that attacks damage by 1%.
There should be also special attack-items like:
'hydro pump only item':
increases the damage of your hydropump by 2%. in Addition every Hydropump got the chance to trigger 'water strenght' that increases all your water damage by 10% for the next 3 turns.

So every poekmon should make different damage i think :-)
You got the possibility to make one attack an 'ultimate', and to increase the damage of all your attacks equally.

/discuss

Although I agree with Draagn, doing this for every single move would be a pain, and I think they already discussed "hold items" somewhere, and they said it's not going to be done.
I remember them joking about it how it's not realistic.

I was hopping for a reply from mr dark or someone about this post I want to know if this was a possibility I want to know if m attraction idea or an of my plans were even considered for PU

I'm sure Mr_dark has read it, and if this idea was enough to be put in PU there would be a lot more talk on this post to increase the potential of it being used. So be patient.
