Okay, thank you, and yea, I found that a couple of hours ago when resorting to checking the list of servers instead of using the advanced connection option and have edited the how to play on the balance server thread.

I'll try to have some battles, though I promise nothing. I just sent my team over and wanted to confirm whether the item clause and evasion clause are to be on by default. Depending on those, I might make a few changes to my team, which hopefully won't cause any issue.
Also, it seems that either there's no one on PO right now, or there's a problem on my side for connecting... (It also tells me that I got disconnected a few minutes after connecting).

It's not 'very easy' per se, but there are means to make it easier. The first thing being the Masuda method and GTS which enable you to get shiny offsprings easier, the chain fishing which was recently introduced and pokeradar which has been around since Gen IV and the friend safari which is said to have pokemon with a higher chance of being shiny than usual. I got 2 shinies via chain fishing, 2 through breeding, 1 from safari and the last 2 was luck I guess.
