Ohaithur.
You're not the only one; I'm sure everyone on the forum, including the staff (and myself), has collected the cards and other merchandise at some point in time. And hey, kid at heart? We're making a Pokemon MMO. Of course.
As for the pictures... /whistle
Those are fantastic. I really like the style. (Brownie points for making Typhlosion look adorable and awesome at the same time.) Umbreon with a scarf. <3
Anyway, welcome to PU! I hope you feel at home around here.

To sum it up succinctly, without going into too much detail: your secret ID is used to abuse the RNG. (Random Number Generator) present in the Pokemon games. Using your secret ID, and a program you can get on your computer, it's possible to guarantee the IV's, shininess, and other attributes of a wild (or egg) Pokemon before you encounter it.

Moar editing wouldn't have been amiss. I noticed a few instances of where you stumbled over what you were going to say. Classic case of, brain thinks faster than the lips can speak? I do that a bit.

....also, Raikt, I was trying to follow your answer, and maybe I missed some detail, or maybe you didn't explain it properly, but it didn't seem to make sense.
Come now, spirit. I can't start making sense just because it is expected of me. Think of the ratings, man!

There are only two ways to see your secret ID: either via using an external device (Gameshark, Action Replay), or by using a long and complicated math formula. http://www.smogon.com/ingame/rng/deducing_secret_idIf you follow that guide, you can figure out your secret ID. However, most find it not worth the effort. I found it fun to figure out mine.

No, that's currently not possible to do. The best you could manage would be to put it up for trade on the GTS, with the exact Pokemon your friend is trading, and hope he manages to get to it before someoone else.
Otherwise, you will have to be on at the same time. I suppose a second option is a mediator. Give it to a third person and have him switch them for you. Though, it would have to be someone you trust. I wouldn't recommend it.

You have a 3 Litre and a 5 Litre Jug, You're stood by a fountain. Using only these two jugs and the water get 4 Litres in the 5 litre jug.
Biatch
You pour five liters into the five liter jug. Then, you move three liters over to the three liter jug. Empty the three liter jug and pour the remaining two liters into it. Now, fill the five liter jug up. Pour one liter into the three liter jug, filling it and leaving you with four. This is an old computer science puzzle. - How much wood could a ninja chuck, if ninjas could chuck wood? And they weren't too busy assassinating nobles or spying. - When do we get to see you dance again? - Have you got any pancake mix, good sir? - Why?

The odds of getting a shiny through breeding, if you use two Pokemon from the same game, are exactly the same as trying to catch the Pokemon. It's only considered easier because of the speed at which you can breed and hatch eggs. (If it being shiny is the only thing you are looking for.) However, if you breed a Pokemon from your game with a Pokemon acquired from a different country that speaks another language. (Breeding an American Eevee with a Japanese Ditto), then your chances of haching a shiny are increased to 1/2048. This is referred to as the Masuda Method. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Masuda_method

What you are looking for is known as a "Shiny" Pokemon; meaning, the coloring is different from normal Pokemon. In GSC and HGSS, you can catch one via the storyline at the Lake of Rage. However, in the other games, you are limited to the same chance each time as stated by Declan.
You're better off breeding or trading for it, really.

Definitely an interesting plot. The main character, Duthar, captures your attention, and he's rather peculiar. Not to mention, at least for me, he strikes as a rather beast character, considering he lives alone (or so that's how it seems) and fights for survival. <<Successfully at that>> Oh, and out of curiosity, did you happen to get that message I sent when you first posted this piece online?
I never received a message, no. And for anyone interested, I'm actually still working on that Pokemon idea a friend wanted me to. It's coming along nicely. I should have something to post of it soon.

Anything works in-game, so long as you have a viable strategy / train properly. I finished solo'ing the Elite Four with a Zubat not long ago.

Other than a few minor errors here and there, and the weird purple trees in the last image, they are very nice.
