Amused by the girl's slight mispronunciation of her name, Hannah tried to contain a small giggle by putting a hand over her mouth. "No, the pleasure's all mine.", she said, grinning. Judging from how loud the crowd was getting, it appeared as though the first match was about to start. Nodding at Alexa's other comment, she followed the girl and sat down beside her. With eyes glued to the screen, she wondered who was going to win the match. It was thoroughly entertaining so far. The wisecracks and the banter had the crowd in stitches, including herself too. Their boyish behaviour made them quite the the pair of crowd pleasers. Out of curiosity, Hannah wondered who Alexa was rooting for. She decided to ask, because why not?
"Hey, Alexa, who do you want to win?", Hannah asked, curiously. To be honest, she didn't care who won. As long as it was entertaining it'd be enough for her. Although if she had to pick one person for victor, Aaron would be Hannah's pick. The way he arrived late, with those guards chasing him was just perfect. Someone just play Yakety Sax over that, please. Guaranteed YouTube viral video right there.

In hindsight, maybe she was a bit too hasty with her sudden confrontation. It sounded more like a challenge rather than a friendly introduction. Ah well. There was no point in worrying about it now. In fact, the girl who turned around looked infinitely more worried than Hannah did. Her awkward smile didn't seem to help either. Wait a second...was this?!
"Oh, I remember you! You were at last year's tourney, right? God, how could I forget such a clumsy girl like you?", she shouted, enthusiastic to finally meet her. She remembered watching Alexa and Goldlock on the big screen last year. At first the underdogs, they actually proved themselves to be a worthy opponent. Well, you don't get into the tournament for nothing. That's for sure. Still, she couldn't believe she was actually meeting her in the flesh. If Hannah remembered correctly, Alexa would be playing against Steven Fukui. She had to admit, she didn't know much about this Steven character but she was sure that Alexa would give him a good game. Okay, so, Hannah might be a total fangirl, but who cares?! Anyway--
Noticing her voice was rather deafening, she tried to talk a little quieter. "Hey, Alexa! I'm Hannah... Bailey." she said as if almost forgetting her second name for a second. Eh, it happened. "Um...it's nice to meet you Alexa!", she whispered this time. She outstretched a hand, smiling brightly at the girl. Hopefully, she hadn't scared her off by this point. That would really suck.

EXCITEMENT! There was a multitude of ways to describe what Hannah was feeling right now. If you could read her mind, this feeling would be everywhere you looked. Having played for one of the biggest clubs in England, Hannah had grown accustomed to the spotlight. This was, uh..."slightly" different. Instead of entertaining the crowd with some keepie-uppies and goals, tonight she would have the eyes of the world on her. Was that an exaggeration? If it was, it wasn't far from the truth. In her eyes, this tournament was just as big as the World Cup or the Olympics; if not, bigger. Ah, this is it. This is what she had been looking for. Not necessarily the spotlight. Sure, she loved to entertain the crowd, but that wasn't her only motivations. Hannah could finally meet new people; experience new cultures; and explore the world of course. She knew her dream was clichéd, but did she care? Not in the slightest! Tonight, she hoped to entertain many people. But uh...she was lost.
"Welp. That's just wonderful.", she sighed. She flipped her phone open to see if she'd got any messages. And of course. No new messages. She put her phone away and continued to walk for a while. Thankfully, it looked like there was someone there to greet her - a member of her sponsor team! "Finally! I was starting to get worried I'd shown up to the wrong place there. How are ya, sis?~", Hannah exclaimed, running over to greet her sister. Yes, that's right. Her sister.
"Ehh, not bad Han. Yourself?", she hugged her sister affectionately. Due to her recent battles, they hadn't seen each other for quite some time.
"Well, other than excited, quite tired I guess." she said, sounding quite exasperated. Even though she sounded tired, rest assured, Hannah would give her all when she finally got in there. "So, uh...How's mum and dad?" she asked, a slightly sombre expression on her face.
"They're...they're proud of you, Han. They're going to watch you tonight, so, don't worry about it, m'kay?", she said, reassuring her sister.
"Thanks, Lex." she said, smiling sadly. "A-Anyway, where do we go from here?".
A loud fanfare of cheers and jeers filled the whole stadium. The noise was enough to drive anyone deaf, sending chills down Hannah's spine. Even whilst playing with Arsenal, she hadn't been in front of this many people before. Usually, she'd play in front of about 20,000 people in a final, but this was...an impressive crowd. People sure loved to see their heroes, didn't they? She could emphasise with that, of course. When Hannah was younger, she went to a lot of Arsenal games, and has even got a shirt signed from her favourite player. Of course, seeing her heroes play inspired her to play herself. Right now, they still had a while to go before the games begun, so she had some time to...socialise! Socialise...! Socialise...? Everyone seemed to have their eyes glued to the seemingly endless amount of monitors, 'cept for a few. Well then. Seems like most of the contestants were here. "Better find a seat--", Hannah mumbled to herself. Not wanting to sit down at an empty table and thus seeming like an anti-social outcast, Hannah forced herself to pick a seat. Just then, she heard someone shout "Jade"...It was probably the same Jade that she'd be facing soon. She looked towards the source of the voice. A girl, roughly her own age, shouted. Once she had locked on, she homed right in for the goal.
"You!...Who are you?!", she asked enthusiastically to the blonde girl.

HumanUsername: LunarOrbiter Name: Hannah Bailey Age: 18 Personality: Hannah is fairly neutral in just about anything she happens to do. She prefers to be the voice of reason in dire situations. She's only human though, so don't be surprised if she loses her head from time-to-time. Will give her all and protects her friends at all costs. Sponsor: Arsenal Football Club •Hannah has been a fan of Arsenal for her whole life. She even played with the woman's U14, U16 and U18 teams for a while. It was only fitting that they sponsored her! Bio: Hannah grew up in the west end of London and has lived there for most of her life. Bored with how average her life was, she decided to travel. Since then, Hannah has traveled to counties all over the U.K, and has even visited parts of Europe. When the dreams started, she thought it was a recurring nightmare. In it, some...disturbing things...would happen to her friends and family. A lone figure, with a red sword thing? What could that mean? The doctors told her she had made contact with her "astral". Of course, she knew what that meant. While initially being uneasy about bonding with said astral, she realised that this was an opportunity to fulfill her dream of exploring the world. After all, tournaments happened on every corner on the planet. It was her chance to finally do something with her life. Up until then, she wasn't sure what but...Anyway, I bet you're wondering about how the story of how Hannah befriended Reiko? Well, that's a story for another day. In the meantime, enjoy the shenanigans that will ensue. A few hobbies:Hannah enjoys a variety of different things. For example, she's an avid gamer - apparently she's a big fan of the FIFA series - and this has led to her having a small YouTube channel. On it, she posts videos of her destroying scrubs, in which she reacts to hilarious reactions. Of course, she isn't a God at video games, and has been known to rage quit, if taking a heavy beating. Another fun activity Hannah loves to do is sports. I know, right?! We didn't think it was possible either! But alas, we now know that Hannah is quite a serious footballer. Playing as a striker, she has scored past many opponents, and has even won several trophies with the younger Arsenal team. For being so young, Hannah is quite accomplished. Hannah has been noted to be a serious nerd by her colleagues at college. She has a deep love for ocean and the creatures that inhabit it. Yes, even the deep-sea creatures. Yes, we also know that Hannah is quite a strange fellow. Of course, she enjoys other things too, but it looks like we're all out of characters(excuse the pun) to tell you anymore! For now, this is all you need to know about Hannah. I hope you have a good time! Appearence: Astral BeingName: Reiko Technique: Reiko is a mercenary. Because of this, she doesn't really have an affiliation to any sort of organisation. She prefers her lightsabre, whom she stole from a Sith in training. Okay, enough monologuing - here's a list of attacks she can do: Blaster charge - Reiko's trusty blaster can get her out of tight situations, not to mention providing some ranged attacks if necessary. It's mostly used as an offensive weapon, or to provide covering fire. She keeps it holstered on her left hip. Lightsabre - Reiko's lightsabre is her preferred weapon of choice. Since she stole it from a Sith, the colour of her blade is a distinct light red colour and is NOT double-sided. Her preferred fighting style is Form III. This fighting style is more defensive and can deflect any shots from blasters, though this can prolong combat - causing fatigue. If fights are dragged out, this could be dangerous. The Force - As Reiko is force sensitive, she is able to manipulate objects in her environment, to some degree. If in peril, she can use the force to increase some physical capabilities, such as increased speed and agility. However, this causes her to tire much quicker, so it can be dangerous if overused. Strength and weaknesses:Strengths: Her biggest strength is her versatility in long and short-ranged combat. While not having the best shot, she can do well enough to protect herself from distance. At close range, she can be deadly with her sabre. Her enemies best be prepared for her attacks, or they could lose a limb. Finally, Reiko is determined to protect those she cares about. And she will stop at no ends to kill you if you threaten her loved ones. This passion drives her on in desperate times. Weaknesses: While Reiko is a strong swordswoman, she lacks formal training. This could be a weakness, especially when facing an enemy who has a vast background of experience. Indeed, she has barely escaped with her life on many occasions because of this. Ironically, another weakness of Reiko is her preferred duelling form. Since it tends to prolong battles, Reiko is susceptible to fatigue making her movements slower, thus, making her movements easier to predict and dodge. Because of this, she can only battle for a short period of time. Super move: "The dark side of the force." Channels the force into a compelling weapon: The force lightning. Though not guaranteed to hit, it will take quite a bit of skill to completely dodge, and if you're hit... Don't expect a swift recovery - if any. The downside to this, is that it drains her both physically and mentally; depleting both her strength in the force, and physical. Appearance:

She had only just recovered from all the socialising when Rika heard the knock of her door. The guards, probably. With a quick glance in the mirror to check her appearance, she finished her preparations for the tournament and opened the door for whoever stood outside. The guards - who she guessed would be there anyway - seemed almost eager to inform her that the tournament would be starting and that they had to escort Rika there. Great. Well at least some people are enjoying this, she thought. She forced a smile at the guards and asked them to look after her until she got to the arena.
A mixture of feelings hit Rika like a speeding bullet train. Joy, nervousness, excitement, fear, but most of all, anxiety. She hated going onstage - to do anything for that matter, whether it'd be for a school play, or too explain her analysis on the physical phenomena of the world. Stages were her natural sworn enemy, and it didn't help at all that the tournament would be broadcasting live to God knows how many people. She took deep, slow breaths as she the commentator read out the names of the competitors, hearing some familiar, and other, not so familiar names.
"Rika vs. Aaron", the commentator bellowed " and Newstein vs. Sun Wukong!"
Yikes!... Just her luck to get such a tough opponent in the first match, huh? It's a good thing that she was able to ask about some of the basics at the table. Her main plan - getting either Aaron or Scarlet to spar with her - was pretty much futile. In fact, she probably had a larger chance of winning the lottery than getting either of them to spar. "Gotta focus.", she muttered to herself. "I can do this... I may be inexperienced, but I've gotta try!" she said, determined now.
Although she said these brave words, she was still shaking. Rika made her way to the sync station, eyes glued to the current match that appeared to have reached it's conclusion - a great, big man who seemed to love beer too much and a...demonic looking creature. "Wha...What the hell is that?", she gasped, obviously scared at what she was witnessing. Rika couldn't believe her eyes as the creature devoured him. She turned away from the screen in horror, trying to block out the horrible images that ingrained themselves into her mind.
The screams and gasps of the audience weren't helping either. It was now clear to her that something had gone seriously wrong. When she got to the syncing station, Rika looked at the machine in awe. The technology was impressive for their time. Thinking about how such a machine works relaxed her a little, even after witnessing something so horrific. She studied the syncing station, waiting for him to arrive.

There was quite the selection at the dinner hall but that wasn't exactly surprising, considering that this was a buffet. Rika hadn't exactly expended much energy in the morning for practice, so she felt only a little peckish. She took a ham sandwich for some lunch, along with some orange juice which she estimated would give her maximum efficiency later. When Rika turned around and saw Aaron's plate, she was surprised at first then amused. Aaron was a fun person but there was no doubt that he was dangerous. She'd have to keep an eye on him when they started the real thing.
She returned briskly to her seat along with Aaron and Scarlet and sat in silence, listening to the two of them as she ate her meal.
That's quite the appetite you have Aaron...!, she thought. Rika couldn't believe that the tournament was only a few hours away now. It almost seemed like a dream...but clearly, this was the real deal. She'd have to be prepared.

Rika smiled gently at Aaron. He had given her a chance: a chance to socialise like a normal girl, and for that, she was grateful. "Let's go then~", she chirped cheerfully. Now that, *that* had gone according to plan, she reflected upon her feelings. I...usually find it difficult to talk to others but that seemed like a piece of cake... am I getting better? Or was it just a fluke?...
Another thing that she would have to consider was those strong emotions she felt when she looked at Aaron. What exactly was that? She felt energised by his smile. In a way, it seemed supernatural, as if something was trying to connect with her. She wanted to give it more thought but it seemed that they had already arrived diner.
Huh? That was strange. Rika had sworn that it took her longer than 10 minutes to get to the gym yet, going back, it seemed like just a few steps. Oh Well. Time flies by when you're having fun I guess.

Rika listened to his rather messy explanation. It made sense to her now but she still couldn't help but feel embarrassed. What else was there to feel? Yes, she remembered now what Aaron's, or rather, Wukong's ultimate move was. I can't believe I thought...Agh, just forget it Rika! She still wasn't exactly sure whether to ask them out for lunch but it'd suffice as a subject changer to get rid of this awkward atmosphere. She cleared her throat to speak.
"W-Well, since that's been cleared up, I was gonna ask you two if you wanted to have lunch? With me? I'm sure we can discuss more interesting things there...and get lunch of course.", she giggled.

Rika nodded her head, "It's a shame but I guess it can't be helped. Better luck next time, maybe?", she replied. Rika watched as the red-haired girl approached them almost feeling an impending sense of doom as she got closer. She extended her hand to meet Scarlet's, shaking it firmly, "It's good to meet you, Scarlet...That's also... a pretty name.", she complimented, trying to ease the tense atmosphere between them, although it appeared to be futile.
Now that she had met these two formally, maybe she could ask one of them to spar with her? Then again, they just finished fighting so they must be exhausted. Not to mention, it was also lunch now so there was no way her request would be granted. Well, there goes that plan. Rika thought to herself. Oh wait...Bingo!. Rika had thought of a foolproof plan! She would just ask them if they wanted to have lunch at the hall where they could socialise more. While there, it'd be the perfect opportunity to ask one of them to be her sparring partner, right?
"Hey do you guys wanna--", she was cut short by Aaron's words. To Rika, this was totally out of context as she was thinking about her own plan rather than listening to Aaron which was probably rude of her. "H-Huh? I-I never saw something like that!", she exclaimed. She then realised that she was blushing a little, so, naturally, she covered her face with her hands.

Rika stood up properly, his confidence allowing her to overcome her embarrassment. "Aaron, huh? That's a nice name!", she said, trying to emulate his enthusiasm. He grasped his hand, weakly at first but then tightening a little so she, at least, appeared to be more confident than she was. "And good luck with that!", she smiled, sincerely at him. When Rika looked into his eyes, she had to admit that she got lost a little. She hadn't seen eyes with such happiness before and they felt quite...'enchanting'.
"Ah, sorry, I didn't mean to stare at you for that long, I just thought I saw something..I, uh...never mind.", she mumbled a little before looking around to see the other people that were there. "I, uh, saw you guys battle. I was quite impressed, if I do say so myself.", she said to them as a group, desperately trying to change the subject.

With heavy, rasping, breaths, Rika came to a halt. She really wasn't cut out for exercising or anything like that. It was a mystery to her how she was so skinny. It's not like she looked after herself particularly well. In all her years, she nurtured her mind more than her body, so it only made sense that she'd be weak, physically speaking. "Even still...it probably...wasn't a good idea...not to exercise...ahh...", she said, clearly enervated from this small walk. Hopefully, fighting in the arena wouldn't be as tolling on her real life body, but nothing that convenient ever happens, does it?
She had arrived at the gym door. This was it. She was about to come face-to-face with her future opponents. Her body was quivering. She wanted to make good first impressions on everyone so she took a deep breath to calm herself down, allowing her to appear more composed. Rika flung the door open louder than she actually wanted to and stepped in to the gym hall. Without thinking, she bowed over, almost instinctively, to introduce herself.
"I'm Rika Akagi. It's a pleasure to meet you all! I look forward to, uh--", Rika stuttered. She wasn't sure what to say next as she never planned ahead this far. "Uh...Uh...", she looked up helplessly, "I look forward to fighting you all!"
She realised how badly worded this sounded, and she covered how mouth. Great. Now they'd all think she was a total klutz!

As most of the battles were now coming to an end, Rika was stunned. Everyone here seemed to be amazing fighters. To say she was impressed would be an understatement. From start to finish of the first sparring match, Rika's eyes were glued to the screen. Subconsciously, she began to study their movements to try and figure out their strengths and weaknesses alike. One of the scenes in particular stood out to Rika - the battle between what seemed to be a pony and a humanoid crab. In the end, the latter won due her quick-thinking but she couldn't help but feel threatened by these people. Both of them were...dangerous. Just watching them 'practice' made Rika feel uneasy. Could she really fight these people? Did she possess a talent for fighting?
Snapping back to reality, she realised now that she could finally meet her opponents. It would be wishful thinking to believe that they could all get along but it couldn't hurt to try, right? Rika sprung to her feet with new confidence in her heart. Hopefully this would outshine the rest of the depressing thoughts that seemed to plague her as of recent. "It shouldn't be too far from here now. I've walked all this way, so I should be close!" With that proclamation, she continued to march forward towards the gym, at which she'd be arriving very soon.
Perhaps there, she may find what she's been looking for - a sparring partner.

The gym was much further than she originally estimated. Is this place a maze or something? Rika thought. Lacking the energy to walk much more, she sat down at a lounge to think of her next move. "I'll just get a little bit of rest here...Ugh, I wish I'd exercised more before I came to this - I'll be a sitting duck if I can't even move!", she complained with a hopeless tone. While moping about at the lounge, she noticed the flickering of a TV screen above her. She squinted her eyes a little to see...was it the other contestants? And they seemed to be in the gym hall. Is this a live feed? With this in mind, she curiously watched as to what was going to happen next.

After walking around for the best part of a half-hour, Rika - eventually - found the dining hall. Her face lit up, smelling the food that had acted as her guide for her nose. The last hurdle of this marathon was now in sight. She regretted not listening to what the guard had to say, or rather, not concentrating enough. In her defence, it was early in the morning and Rika is, as you can tell, is not a morning person. Exhausted from the trek, Rika walked through the dining hall to search for refreshments. Up until now, she hadn't really saw or spoke to anyone but if she was going to do that now, here would be the perfect place...right?
Searching far and wide was in vain. There didn't seem to be a single soul in the hall. A barely audible sigh escaped her system as she wondered what she'd do now with her spare time. Was she late because of how lost she had gotten? That must be it, right?
"Stupid...", she mumbled to herself, hastily picking a quick meal and some orange juice to go with it. With this in hand, she decided to hurry to the gym where, most likely, everyone else was...but where exactly was the gym?
"...Should check this map~", Rika said, spotting one next to the exit. Fortunately, now that she was more awakened, Rika was able to concentrate better so going to the gym shouldn't take her long. She started to head over to meet up with anyone else who was there.

The sudden knocking of the door surprised Rika who was in the middle of getting changed. Judging from the intensity of the knock, whoever was there seemed to have an urgent message for her. Perhaps it was the organiser for the event? she initially thought but realised that it was probably a messenger. "Just coming!", she shouted as she hurriedly organised the mess that was her hair, until it was at least a somewhat presentable appearance in her mind. After fumbling around with the rest of her possessions, placing them in their proper places, Rika made her way to the door. The girl stopped right at the door to take a deep breath, thereby, composing herself. Today was going to be fun. With that positive attitude in mind, she gently opened the door to reveal the guard and their message.
Unfortunately, it was too early to absorb the dose of information she got. She probably didn't take much of the information in, rather, just the key points - the current time and the time the tournament starts. Small mumbles of a "Hmm" and "Ahh" emitted from her mouth as the guard spoke, no louder than the squeak of a mouse. The strain on her neck was quite substantial. Rika wondered if she was just short or if the guard was just, well, huge. She closed the door after thanking them for the message. There wasn't much to say to a guard after all...was there? With a frustrated sigh, she drifted through her room to sit down for a moment so she could process the information given. 8 a.m... 7 p.m... I've got 11 hours to prepare. Okay. I should get breakfast first. With that in mind, she finally left her room, heading for the dining hall. However, there was one small problem.
She had no idea where she was going.
