Nidoqueen because of her wide array of learn-able special attacks. While her special attack isn't spectacular, she is an excellent chameleon and wildcard pokemon.

2. Alakazam- Physic powerhouse
3. Jynx- Ice Physic Combo
4. Nidoqueen- Wildcard with Ground, Electric, Ice, and Water
5. Lapras- Ice and water tank

I remember playing yellow as the most fun I had with pokemon, though Ruby was good too. I know everyone seems to love Gen 2, but I actually got bored with that one.
