Well, they are doing a beta in the beginning of April which should mean their putting out everything they have done. If the beta goes well then the wait for PU to be up and running shouldn't be too far away.

Funny song, but if that played every time you used an escape rope..I mean isn't it kinda long? If that had to play through then the animation of using the rope would have to be very slow to get the entire song in before sending the trainer to a Pokemon Center.

The DEVS should make it so you need to meet a certain requirement to be able to trade at all. this keeps new players from getting high lvl pokemon.
If it is made so high lvl ones don't obey you and a new person gets one, they could just keep it in their pc until it does obey if anyone can do trades. And if a Pokemon doesn't obey you past a certain lvl there might not be many people that trade for high lvls if they can't use them. Most trading would probably end up being done by trainers with at least 8 badges and lvl 50-100 Pokemon.

You should go to your nearest video game store or check online for reviews. Those usually help explain a lot about the features of a game and if it's good to buy or not.

You can tell the game will be cool through the screen shots they provided. The maps look interesting and the quality of the game looks pretty good, so once it's up it should be amusing for everyone to play.

Doesn't the fact that you get to battle with other people, not just video game created ones, automatically make PVP battles more fun? If your use to game-boy's or Nintendo video games then the PVP battling should seem very fun to people who never played MMO's or games on DS..and even so it's a different game meaning the experience you'll get once you start playing will be new and that will make the battling fun in its own way.

Even as a distraction many people might think its dumb if theirs Pokemon in the zoo that can be found a lot in game. If theirs a zoo it should be for exotic or legendary types, since zoo's hold a lot of extinct animals.

That sounds like a good idea because players can get cool Pokemon, but when theirs MMO's there is also scammers. You can tell if there's a chance these eggs are really rare everyone's going to scam everyone else for the eggs and many other people with make multiple accounts to get many eggs then transfer it to their other accounts making a circle of a few people with 100's of eggs. That's just something you have to take into account, especially for a new MMO still in the making.

<quote> I don't think that there will be any 'Next Big Thing' for me apart from Pokemon </quote>
I only play Pokemon when it comes to anime too, but it's always possible for there to be a next big thing Pokemon-wise. Since MMO's are a fairly new fad coming out I'm sure someone will take it a step higher soon enough. Virtual reality would be cool.

If PU makes it so that members in the game, once its up, can create and form tournaments I'm sure more creative ideas than just water, or just electric battling will be requested.

it would be cool if you could challenge someone to a battle, agree on a set wager, and however wins gets the cash. it would be a great pvp feature. The only thing the players doing this need to worry about Joe, is getting hooked to gambling and losing all their money. It wouldn't be good if some players ended up having gambling problems over their battles.. although the foreseen forum complaints about their issue I can assume will turn out to be amusing in some way.

Safari Zone's usually have common grass/water types found in other area's of a region, but they also have those horribly rare types only found in a specific zone. Usually dragon types like dratini or other starter types are hiding deep within the safari's. That is what makes the place so popular and why there is a cost and time limit.
If you could go in for free for unlimited amounts of time the rare Pokemon wouldn't be hard to find, defeating the place's purpose.

For 6. I'm not talking about just a friendly (maybe not always so friendly) thunderbolt where Ash never seems to be really harmed... but I mean seriously injured
For 8. I mean in the game not the anime
For 9. Can it learn fly now? I just remember in RBY I was always frustrated because it couldn't 6. In one of the movies Ash tries to stop a battle between many Pokemon and gets in the middle of it. He turns to stone, which I guess is a g rated way of saying he dies, then the Pokemon's tears bring him back to life. So yes, serious injury can occur. 8. I guess he would feel annoyed his son won, but it shows he can learn and become a better trainer through the lose. 9. In RBY it couldn't learn fly, but when you get the HM move you can teach it to some Pokemon, I believe Charizard was included. As a automatically learned move, no it can't be learned.

In the anime and hand-held games transportation is mainly through walking, bikes, trains, or boats. If a device other than walking/biking is implemented boats and a train would make the most sense.
