I'll be getting it for sure, if not just for the Ocarina of Time and Metal Gear Solid 3 remakes. A new Kingdom Hearts really helps it too, since I've been a big fan for a good while now. I just wish that the nest Pokemon gen would be featured on it. Doesn't make much sense to leave it on the DS now that all the hype for 3DS has started.

Who would f*** a Snorlax?

Hey man, if a Skitty has the desire to f*** a Wailord, anything must be possible.

Snorlax. Eat, sleep, have sex when you need to. Doesn't get much better than that. Plus, no one expects anything from you, so no one cares when you're just a leech on the world and don't give anything back. And sleeping months at a time sounds really nice right now for me...

Anime & Movies / Re: Our hero Ash Ketchum
« on: July 08, 2010, 05:06:32 AM »
Yeah, Ash would have no problem at all if he stuck with his original team. There's just no way someone could be the champion of the freaking Battle Frontier and still lose to that guy. But I think it's done on purpose to keep things interesting, so we don't just have Charizard coming out every battle and kicking everyone's ass. Plus, you have the whole maturity issue, that Ash has matured so much that he no longer feels the need for strong Pokemon he's trained in the past.

I have to admit, I was originally going to say Charmander, just because all of us know that Charizard is awesome, but after seeing the teenage mutant ninja Squirtles, my opinion has been altered. It's just that I always wondered how Blastoise has actual mechanic CANNONS coming out of its back....

Hey, learned something new today because of your question... Caterpie doesn't learn any move but Tackle and String Shot in DP, but in PtHGSS, it learns Bug Bite at Lv 15.

Magikarp is in serious trouble :o

Well, my statement was according to the 'old' caterpie :-[

Considering that Bug Bite could be considered an "okay" move when compared to Magikarp's move pool, I guess that could make Caterpie better. Still depends on if Magikarp's HP would ever get low enough for Flail to do any real damage. But still, Magikarp DOES have better base stats than Caterpie does.

Flail is sometthing you really CAN'T rely on. You might get in one good hit, maybe even a KO, but if Magikarp's HP is low enough for Flail to do any real damage, it's not going to last long. I guess in that respect though, it could be considered better than Caterpie, who also has a horrible move pool. But really, who keeps a Magikarp until level 30 when they could have a Gyarados? :P

Trainers Lounge / Re: Evolution stones.
« on: July 03, 2010, 01:35:31 AM »
I'd always get really aggrevated in Sapphire/Ruby because there were barely any stones to be found there. I remember starting a new game on Sapphire, and trading a Pichu and Igglybuff from FireRed there to act as "starters" or sorts you could say. Luckily, I think there's ONE Moonstone and ONE Thunderstone (Ievolvedmypikachuthistimelol) to be found in the entire game. But I have absolutely no memory of a Sunstone or Waterstone, unless you traded them for shards (which I could mysteriously never find...)

I liked it a lot more in gen 1 when you could just buy the majority of the stones. Moonstone was the only one you couldn't buy, so it didn't aggrevate the mess out of me and discourage me from using one Pokemon the needed a Stone to evolve. So, I think the stones that are used more to evolve (Thunder,Water,Fire) are better off being bought, while others, like Dusk which have only a couple of evolutions to be gained from them, should be more like quest rewards.

Eh well, stat wise Sunkern is the weakest isn't it? But when it comes down just to a terrible move pool, yeah, I guess Magikarp wins that one. One move that does absolutely nothing, and Tackle. Not what you're going to win a battle with, especially considering its stats are horrible too, and Swift Swim downright fails in that situation.

I know it's COMPLETE cliche, but I'm one of those "little kids" you mentioned who fell in love with him in 1999. Battle wise, yeah, he sucks pretty bad, but at least you can can him the Light Ball now to make him better, if just a little bit. I'll probably never use him in a competitive battle, but there's always one in my team other than that.

So yeah, Pikachu.

General Chat / Re: Who is better Mew or Arceus (or another)?
« on: July 01, 2010, 06:09:47 PM »
Both are incredibly diverse, but I give the award of best Pokemon ever to Arceus, just 'cause he's a god and can kill us all if we say differently.

But really, Arceus truly is a competitive god. I can't even begin to explain how much people could rape with him if he was actually accepted in battles, and there's a good reason he's not. He's just so unpredictable, and with those monstrous stats, you have very little chance of actually preparing the right way for him. I mean, at least you know what TYPE Mew is going to be when you go up against it. With Arceus you just plain don't know.

General Chat / Re: Whats your Favorite Pokemon Generation?
« on: July 01, 2010, 03:30:46 AM »
I'm one of those weird people who's liked every generation as it's released, even though I was part of the hype for almost all of them. Was so stoked for gen 2 back in the day, just because it was a sequel you know? It'd be unnatural to not be excited about it. The gen 3 comes along, and it's on a brand new system, with graphics that look absolutely stunning when compared to the first two generations, so it was just the way it looked if anything that made me look forward to it. Gen 4 introduced soooo many features that made Pokemon more enjoyable, Wi Fi being the biggest one.

If you had told me 10 years ago that one day I could trade with someone in Japan, I would've thought you were crazy.

I never actually encountered it by a mistake. I just went looking for it because I was curious about it. :P Since I really didn't value the current game I was playing either, I decided to catch it just for the hell of it. Some entertaining things happened after that.
My favorite glitch though, would have to be the Mew glitch. Loved that one to death, and now I use it almost every time I play through Yellow again.

If you beat X at 100% you get a different ending.
I haven't seen it yet as I have only gotten to about 94% before I lost interest.
But it is supposed to be really good, I have been thinking about loading it back up just to see it.
Takes at least 2 runs through the game to get 100% due to the different Albhed(sp?) letters that you can't get till late in the game.

You sure that's not X-2 you're talking about? Because I don't remember X ever keeping track of a percentage, while X-2 did. Plus, there's nothing really secret about the ending, except for the little bit at the end credits that turns out the be the beginning of the "Good Ending" in X-2.

Trainers Lounge / Re: do you always let your pokemon evolve?
« on: June 30, 2010, 04:19:48 AM »
Sometimes it's just strategic to not evolve right away, which is common knowledge. Back when I had Fire Red, I stopped a Snorunt from evolving in Glalie once just because Snorunt would learn Blizzard the very next level, while it would take Glalie a good deal more.

Then there's just the cuteness factor of those 1st stage evolutionary lines. Togepi for instance; I just can't stand to let that little guy evolve. I always slapped an Ever Stone on it first time I got so that when happiness finally got to that point, it just wouldn't evolve. Same thing with most of the baby Pokemon too. Pikachu is the same way, even though Raichu is much better. Guess I just got to used to not being able to evolve him in Yellow, so now I can't bear to evolve it anyway. Thank god for the Light Ball though; makes having a Pikachu soooooo much better.
