Definitely an interesting plot. The main character, Duthar, captures your attention, and he's rather peculiar. Not to mention, at least for me, he strikes as a rather beast character, considering he lives alone (or so that's how it seems) and fights for survival. <<Successfully at that>> Oh, and out of curiosity, did you happen to get that message I sent when you first posted this piece online?

Thanks, and yea, you're right. I didn't put much into the start of it. So I thought I should write a little more on this one, before doing any others (at least for a while). Took a while since I decided on taking the idea of parkour into my own life, and somewhat started a story on it... So, here is the update (: ... Enjoy~ -----------------------------------------------------------------------
Today, the new transfer student arrives. She is a red head with a wooden 'x' shaped bag on her back. As she takes her first step a thump, followed by, "Ah," is heard resonating from within the bag. After her third step, she turns to the bag and shouts, "will you quiet down in there?"
"I can't breathe in here..." returns a voice from inside the weird bag. After a quick apology, she opens the bag and a red mist emanates from the bag. Following the mist are a few magic seals: A red star shaped seal, which indicates something forbidden. A blue quarter moon shaped seal, which means something is shut inside for good, and a yellow heart shaped seal, which means something unsettling has occurred. Before the smoke cleared away, coughing and mumbling was heard coming from within the smoke. "You plan to do me in one of these days, don't you?" comes a voice from inside the smoke.
"What!? No! Why would you say that?" cries the transfer students voice. As the smoke finally clears, a glossy red heart attached to the bag, and a blond haired cutey, standing chest forward are at last noticeable. Suddenly the room fills with awe and ooh, "Florina, what's the meaning of this?" asks the teacher.
"Umm. Well," she takes a step, resembling somewhat of a sophisticated stance, "as you can see, I have successfully performed the-" before she is able to finish, a wave of disbelief is heard across the room. As if dealing the last blow, "Successfully, hmm?" finishes the professor. “So, blond-y, what’s yer name?” “Kenneth, ma’am. I see you want to ask me how this happened... Well, long story short, I was with her last night. Don’t know how I got in this bag, but I feel I’m going to be in here for a rather long time. So, I guess I’ll be joining in on her classes here. Unless,” he cocks his head back and takes a long breathe, “you know of a way to get me out of this god forsaken bag. I don’t enjoy this,” he turns to Florina, “luxury suite,” he coughs. With the wave of her hand the professor asks, “Does anyone remember the colors, shapes, and order of the colors that shined as she opened the bag?” Three hands in the front of the room, on each end and the middle, shoot up. She points to the closest one, “Tatiana, go ahead.” A brunette, with grey eyes stands up, “It was a red mist, followed by a red star, a blue quarter moon, and yellow heart shaped seal. Miss Langers,” and she takes her seat. “Very good. In such case, we shall,” the professor takes out a flask from within her desk drawer, and runs towards the door, “now you bumpkins stay put ya hear?” and with that, she shoots straight out of the room. Some of the girls in the back stop chatting, and as if they all had the same idea, “Hey cutey!” and they start to giggle. At the sight of this, Tatiana looks away in disgust, ‘I could never stand those types.’ As Kenneth and Florina try to start a conversation, the professor comes flying into the room like a bullet train, “I’ve got it! This should do the trick.” She takes out two flasks, one with green liquid, and another with a blue liquid and turquoise embers bolting out of the flask. She pours the blue liquid over the bag, and hands the green liquid over to Kenneth, “Drink this.” He looks at it with disgust, then looks up at the professor with puppy eyes. Before Kenneth spouts a word, “Yes you do!” fires the professor.

I see, well thank you Jerry. I'll keep that in mind if I come up with anything else.

If it makes you feel better... I can do reward idea's. As for a back-story... No thanks, I really don't enjoy reading lengthy paragraphs that end up being really pointless, so I won't write them either. I mean, people usually scroll through if the quest giver (the Professor) goes on forever... Anywho, here you go:
Recommended Level: Any Reward: Plush Toy (for display in your in-game home), Pokeball, 100poke (if that's the currency in PU) NPC: Professor (First one you meet in the beginning of game, kind of like the one in Pallet town [Pokemon Red/Blue/Green])

It's funny you would ask: "why would someone feel compelled to do it?" Jerry, usually when I post idea's, I leave the "reason" or quest "rewards" to the higher ups. Why? Well, first off, I have no idea how they plan to work out the game. Nor do I understand what they plan. Hence, why I leave that in the open.
Also, Monzta. I would say that it's close to the "Explorers of Darkness" except that its being done outside a dungeon. Aside from that, this quest utilizes use of items, and hopefully all would feel compelled to do such a quest (even if not required) as Unbreakable seems to be. xD
And thanks for the addition there Unbreakable. I too, would feel that way. (:

I see, well hopefully all goes accordingly. Also, I had no intention of a Fable like aspect, if somehow I did give off that vibe. And thanks for clearing that up. (:

In some ways I do agree that an Item Mall is just overkill. However, that solely depends on what is being sold. If anyone's ever played S4 league, I'm pretty sure you can see that those greedy bums have honestly crossed the line. Plus weapons that can instant kill? Stack-able items? I mean really? Any-who, that's beside the point. As long as Pokemon aren't being sold, or a player having the ability to bring more Pokemon into battle, then I see no problem in it.

For new starters: After acquiring the Pokedex, Professor (Oak, or whoever it is for PU) asks the trainer to identify a certain Pokemon that he has a picture for, but no name on it. Or perhaps have the trainer identify a few (around 5-10[does not have to catch all of them]) Pokemon in a certain area.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned before, but here is a small idea that might work. The possibility of having more than one storyline... Maybe if choices the player makes as he/she goes along can change the outcome of the ending he/she gets? Or perhaps storyline changes depending on which Pokemon you pick as a starter? Of course, there could be the "no storyline," depending on the players' desire to follow up on the story? In my opinion, you shouldn't HAVE to follow the story to open up new paths.
^^^^ Maybe I should retract that idea? Not sure how the storyline works, even though I read it over twice x.x ---------------
Now I'm not sure how you guys have it set or want it to be, but do HM/TM's come from winning against trainers? Are they in pokeballs floating about the continent? Or do we have to talk to random NPCs to acquire them?

Mmm, well the idea of Legendary Pokemon is largely a gamble. Of course it would be unwise to add them to the "catchable" list, considering there are people who would invest way to much time into just filling their team with all Legendary Pokemon. Which would ultimately make game-play much harder and in some cases, less fun, for new players. Not to mention the whole mess if guilds and parties like Team Rocket could be formed, which of course, would be able to attack anyone on a whim. Then for sure we would have some people who love pvp, go and kill new players for "their" amusement. However, the idea of adding them as a STORYLINE character, or boss type Pokemon would be a fun idea. (:
