Hey Roloc, it seems your calc were off after all. Just did some more calcs with Fire Blast (which I forgot to nerf) and came up with some different results.
124 Bold SpA Clefable Fire Blast vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Scizor: 316-376 (92.12 - 109.62%) -- 56.25% chance to OHKO - Bold vs Standard Mega Scizor (Guaranteed OHKO after 1 layers of Spikes)
124 Bold SpA Clefable Fire Blast vs. 8 HP / 242 SpD Scizor: 252-300 (89.67 - 106.76%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO - Bold vs Sp.Def Mega Scizor (Guaranteed OHKO after 2 layer of Spikes)
124+ Modest SpA Clefable Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 242 SpD Scizor: 280-332 (99.64 - 118.14%) -- 93.75% chance to OHKO - Modest vs Sp.Def Mega Scizor
124+ Modest SpA Clefable Fire Blast vs. 242 HP / 8 SpD Scizor: 344-408 (100.87 - 119.64%) -- guaranteed OHKO -Modest vs Standard Mega Scizor
And a Bullet Punch in Return:
252+ Atk Choice Band Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 124 HP / 252+ Def Clefable: 284-336 (78.45 - 92.81%) -- guaranteed 2HKO -Choice Band Scizor vs 124/252 (set I've been running)
252+ Atk Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 124 HP / 252+ Def Clefable: 164-194 (45.3 - 53.59%) -- 39.45% chance to 2HKO -252 Mega Scizor vs Clefable.....loss of Choice Band really hurts O.o
Point being, Roloc, you're definitely going to need to take advantage of the new Defog mechanics to keep Mega Scizor alive or instead us Mega Pinsir and keep a Choice Band set. Like many mega evolutions, the damage output is outclassed by the Life Orb or Choice variants. Its the same case with Mega Alakazam, Mega Gardevoir, and Mega Gyarados.
Also, have you tried Scolipede yet? The added base Atk + Speed Boost is amazing!

Fire Blast accuracy sucks, but as we all know, its better to be able to counter your weaknesses than to check them. Mega Scizor laughs at Flamethrower from non Modest Clefable and I'd rather take the 75% chance to hit and OHKO than take 2 Bullet Punches and die.
Also, your calcs are off.
Normal Scizor: 124 SpA Bold Clefable Fire Blast vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Scizor: 412-488 (120.11 - 142.27%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Mega Scizor: 124 SpA Bold Clefable Fire Blast vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD (custom): 344-408 (100.29 - 118.95%) -- guaranteed OHKO
These are standard sets with HP investment.
Scizor with Sp.Def investment: 124 SpA Bold Clefable Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 252 SpD Scizor: 316-376 (112.45 - 133.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Mega Scizor with Sp.Def investment: 124 SpA Bold Clefable Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 252 SpD (custom): 272-324 (96.79 - 115.3%) -- 81.25% chance to OHKO
So even with Sp.Def investment, I still have a good chance to OHKO Mega Scizor without having to compromise my bulk to take a Bullet Punch (Clefable CAN'T take a Bullet Punch with any less bulk). You could invest in both HP and Sp.Def but you would have to give up Atk EVs which would potentially let Cleable avoid a 2HKO Bullet Punch. I'd actually really like to test that.
So far, I'm not getting too unlucky with the Fire Blast missing but it is a huge risk. Ideally, if Scizor is already on the field, I'd like to just go into either Klefki or Mawile and either Foul Play or Fire Fang Scizor but Bullet Punch is still really hurts Klefki even though its nuetral.

With the special moves being nerfed, Flamethrower isn't worth it unless you have STAB. I'm running 252 Def/128 HP/128 Sp.Atk Bold Clefable to guarantee surviving BP from both Scizors, Lucario, and even Iron Head from Mega Mawile 63% of the time. Fire Blast is what OHKO's Scizor. If Mega Scizor gets a SD, then Clefable can't take a BP but I'm usually on the field before Scizor is. Running Unaware instead of Magic Guard would ignore Swords Dance but leave me vulnerable to Toxic....so I'm not sure which I want to run XD

Just saw someone completely decimate with Aegislash. I am now changing my opinion on it. As long as Aegislash does not use Kings Sheild and makes use of its 150 Sp.Atk stat with its 150 Atk stat, it is actually one of the best pivots in gen 6. Someone should try this set! Aegislahs @ Life Orb Ability: Stance Change EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Atk / 4 HP Quiet Nature - Shadow Ball - Iron Head - Sacred Sword - Shadow Sneak Aegislash takes full advantage of Steel Types losing their resistance to Ghost. Aegislash actually OHKO's standard CB Scizor with Shadow Ball (mega Scizor still laughs at it and sets up XD). The combination of Shadow Ball + Shadow Sneak 1-2HKO's a ton of threats that wall the Swords Dance set o.o I might have to try to use this mixed Aegislash in-game. Also, check out this battle http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/frost-pokebankoubeta-46791Clefable will probably be my signature Pokemon. This thing is super bulky with its mono-Fairy typing. It takes a Bullet Punch from a mega Scizor and a Sludge Bomb from mega Gengar after a Calm Mind boost and destroys both of them! I've been running Magic Guard to avoid status and entry hazards. However, set up sweepers seem to be much more of a threat in the PU meta so Unaware might be the better ability. What do you guys think? P.S. Mega Gyarados needs Crunch. Badly.

Tyranitar, Landorus-T, Rhyperior, and Hippowdon all shut Talonflame down. Stealth Rocks is also a huge problem for Talonflame but the fact that Defog now removes all hazards on the field and can't be blocked makes supporting Talonflame a bit easier.
Stealth Rocks not being in PU will realy help it. Btw, now that defog clears all entry hazards away and can't be blocked, how do the balancer feel about Stealth Rocks? I'm sure it will still be cut out but entry hazards are much harder to keep on the field in gen 6.

Kings Shield is exactly what makes Aegislash predictable. Its almost as bad as using Protect on a sweeper with the added bonus not protecting against status moves like Will-o-Wisp or TWave. Aegislash's ability, Stnace Change, is great but leaves it super vulnerable should it use Shadow Sneak (90% of Aegislash run this over Sacred Sword for some reason).
Aegislash will no doubt be OU, but it was way too overhyped when XY first came out and the competitive community is now able to understand and easily check it.
One Pokemon that everyone thought would be bad but is now an absolute monster is Talonflame. Gale Wing ability giving Brave Bird, Acrobatics, and Roost priority + Flare Blitz is devastating. Combining that with Swords Dance or Bulk Up and you have one of the best mid-game sweepers in the history of Pokemon. Every team needs to have at least 2 checks to Talonflame or you will be swept.

Barbacle is an interesting Pokemon. It gets Shell Smash and has a great movepool, but is unfortunately outclassed by Cloyster. Even after a Shell Smash, many choice scarfed Pokemon can still outspeed Barbacle (something Cloyster usually doesn't have to worry about). The combination of Waterfall/Stone Edge/Cross Chop is really useful and nothing in the upper tiers resist it.
Barbacle also has 2 great abilites in Tough Claws and Sniper. With Tough Claws, Waterfall hits like a bullet train after Shell Smash and with Sniper, Stone Edge and Cross Shop are almost always going to land a critical hit thanks to the new gen 6 mechanics. Stone Edge and Cross Chop's accuracy are still kinda weary though.

Update about Fairy research:
People are finally breeding perfect Aegislash on the Battle Spots. This....is bad for Fairies XD Aegislash's combo of Iron Head/Sacred Sword/Shadow Sneak completely wrecks most Fairies. If it doesn't run Swords Dance, I can carefully check it with bulky tank Togekiss and OHKO its Sword Forme with Flamethrower and its Shield Forme with Fire Blast. If it does run Swords Dance, I have to gamble with double switches between Togekiss and Mawile.
If I can get Gardevoir in safely, I can mega evolve and OHKO with Shadow Ball while only have to fear the 67.93% chance of a OHKO from Shadow Sneak.
Belly Drum/Play Rough/Aqua Jet/Superpower Azumarilll is amazing right now! It really synergies with Klefki who can set down Spikes easily thanks to Prankster.
I've determined that Crobat will not be a serious threat until December in simulators and Battle Spots. I'd like to test it on PU's simulator since it should have Heat Wave already but we don't have gen 6 running yet.

Unluckily for the Fairy Types, Scizor is a huge threat against them. Heatran comes in second and gives my simulator teams a ton of trouble if Azumarill is KO'd. Crobat is also amazing with Infiltrator but luckily can't do anything to my in-game/simulator Mawile since Crobat can't get Heat Wave until the Pokebank opens.
I've noticed that as long as I keep my Azumarrill (now gets both Belly Drum and Aqua Jet) and Mawile core alive, I can hard check Scizor, physical Lucario, Heatran, Crobat, and Machamp. The combination of Azumarrill's Water typing and Mawile's Intimidate softens the physical weakness. Filter Mime also kinda helps me check Scoliopede but I have to play super carefully if it packs Poison Jab....which its not running much on in-game battles for some reason. Theoretically, I could counter Crobat with Gardevoir if I ran a scarf on her instead of Gardevoirite, but its a shaky counter at best.
After playing and testing a bit more today, I've found that defensive Togekiss can tank a Bullet Punch from Mega Scizor and CB Scizor and still KO with Fire Blast. Assault Vest Scizor on the other hand can potentially survive a Fire Blast and 2HKO me.
Nidoking, Aggron, and Metagross are all thankfully way too slow to be too threatening. The Steel Type nerf was also much appreciated as my Gardevoir can now hit Metagross for SE damage with Shadow Ball and doesn't have to rely on the now 60 BP Hidden Power Fire to take on Steel Types.
My updated biggest threats would now be:
Assault Vest Scizor Crobat Goodra (if it carries Sludge Wave. It tanks a lot of my team's moves) Physically based mixed Mega Lucario
I'll keep testing and see what else I can find about fairies.

After some serious testing in-game and on simulators, I would like to formally put in a request to change my type to Fairy. However, I ask to hold off my change until it is confirmed that the new type will be in PU and the new type is put in on the testing server. Fairy Types are pretty anti-metagame at the moment. They are effective against most of the top-tier types from gen 5 and have an amazing general special bulk. Their main problem is that Fairy Types as a whole have a terrible physical defense stat.
I've been playing with Gardevoir/Togekiss/Azumarril/Sylveon/Mr.Mime/Mawile and my only serious problem seems to be offensive Mega Scizor.
Cheers, Noah (:

On the topic of balancing, have you heard of Tier-Shift? It might help or be a reference when balancing (I'm sure you've already figured out balancing for most Pokemon and already have a concrete method....but this will make me feel like I've contributed to something XD) Basically, Pokemon get a boost in their base stats according to their current tier standing. Pokemon in UU get a boost of 5 to each stat. Pokemon in RU get a boost of 10 to each stat. Pokemon in NU get a boost of 15 to each stat. I'm not sure if this actually works in balancing....it actually makes certain Pokemon a bit OP (*cough*Charizard*cough*) but it was something interesting I found. This is where I got the idea. Not sure if we want to base our metagame off of Smogon though xD http://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/tier-shift-metagame.3479358/

Hey all. I've been lurking as usual for the past year and figure it might be time to log in.
Few things: Congrats to Roloc and Vivi! Super excited for the baby (:
Any word on the game? I haven't really been following the news. Are we sticking with only gen 5 or will PU also have gen 6 Pokemon? If so, I might want to change my type to Fairy....
Cheers, Noah

Its like Zekrom and Reshiram wearing Kyurem as armor.
Its been confirmed that its not a fusion of Reshiram/Zekrom + Kyurem. Its only one very mad Kyurem. I'm pretty sure this proves my point of Kyurem being the original dragon before spliting into Reshiram and Zekrom. This would mean that Kyurem has the DNA and capabilites of both ying-yang dragons; explaining why the formes look so similar.
