I think I would have to choose mudkip myself. Swampert(sp), with his water/ground combo will smash the other starters.  :P But I will most likely get to test out the new starters in Black/White before I get to play, so I might end up changing my mind. Dunno yet.

Almost forgot. Why isn't pikachu one of the starters? Are we forgetting yellow version. XP

I guess what I'm trying to say is, like in pokemon diamond and pearl, will the player be able to obtain different fossils? If so, will we be able to trade them? That was just one new addition that I personally liked being added to the series, and was hoping the dev. team here would consider keeping around.
