I originally chose Torchic, but I'm going to have to go with Turtwig now, it looks a lot like my pet snapping turtle

Sounds like a great idea to me, so it would be another option in the fight / run/ bag menu?

Quests & Plots / Re: My Quest Idea« on: April 01, 2010, 11:46:24 PM »
I like the idea of catching Pokemon for other people in quests, I doubt cut scenes and fire animations could be implemented in the game though.

Having a starter be a pokemon that should only be able to move and such in water bothers me way more then it should.

Games / Re: Things about the Pokemon Games you hated« on: April 01, 2010, 12:19:08 PM »
I really, really hate how the AI would just use moves at random. Sure, it's easier sometimes but it would be a lot more challenging if it at least had some system where it attacked based on your pokemon type, limited non-damaging stat boost/decrease moves, and never did moves that literally did nothing (electric attack on ground pokemon, both pokemon in a dual battle using helping hand, etc.).

I'll probably go with Torchic because Blaziken is a BAMF, but it's going to be a hard choice between Torchic, Mudkip, and Turtwig. Being able to find them all in game will make it a tad easier assuming I remember correctly that you can do that.

Agreed. There are a few Gen IV I like but for the most part my favorites are in Gen I and III

Kingler - By far my favorite Pokemon as far as design and such goes. Plus Swords Dance + Crabhammer is a pretty lethal combo
Forretress - Spikes and rapid spin is nice, the double weakness to fire sucks but I just really like this Pokemon Flygon - I like the whole Ground/Dragon thing Blaziken - My favorite fully evolved starter Umbreon - Who doesn't love Umbreon? Best Eeeveelution. Raichu - He's pretty weak, but Substitute + Focus Punch works fairly well. Also, I'd have Espeon, Swellow, Onix, Bellsprout, Glaceon and Haunter trained as well and switched around sometimes too, some of them aren't fully evolved but I like them too much to not use them. I really, really hope it's possible to get more than one Eevee in this game, it would be awesome to be able to catch them in the wild.
