Oh my gosh, just one?
Nooo... Piplup then, I guess. He is a penguin, which has been my animal since I was a baby (first stuffed toy in the delivery room was a penguin named Penny and since then I have been in love with them). 6

Sorry I took forever to respond, but here is why I dislike the way empoleon looks:
Just let me say now that I dislike the whole "pokemon wearing armour" look. 1) The crown-thing on his face. It looks like it doesn't belong there. Like a piece of armour rather than an actual part of its body. 2) The light blue part outlining its wings, trailing down its belly and wrapped around its neck like a collar. Once again it just doesn't look like it belongs there. Like armour, but attached forever. On an animal... I prefer the pokemon to look either organic or inorganic. Not a mixture of the two. I really dislike that it is soft and pudgy looking, and then that are these random awkward bits of steel/hard material that would make it more difficult/inefficient for it to live, in my eyes. 12
Development / Re: Movement controls.« on: April 23, 2011, 02:20:53 PM »
Okay, well I was only trying to bring up an issue that some people might have, as I know for myself it is a pain to use only one hand for everything (or reach across the keyboard).
I just find it easier to keep both hands in their respective sectors, left and right, and to use them equally during gameplay (rather than right hand for mouse, take hand off the mouse, right hand using keys, stop moving, right hand on mouse again). 13
Development / Re: Movement controls.« on: April 23, 2011, 12:44:24 PM »For the record I am left handed and use the mouse in my left hand, I have no trouble with using WASD or the arrow keys. Perhaps I am in a minority and other people do have problems, but I don't see how what hand you use to move the mouse impacts on keyboard movement. Well, as a right handed person using the mouse with my right hand, it is unnecessarily awkward (for me at least) reaching across the keyboard with my left hand to use the arrow keys when the AWSD keys are right there on the left, where my left hand is. I think Raikt had it right and it would be ideal if perhaps we could choose to change the keys in a key mapper of sorts, if need be. 14

That would be ideal, haha.

I was just wondering about the keys used to move the character.
Are you guys going to be using the arrow keys or the AWSD keys? In my opinion the AWSD keys are far easier in that, to my knowledge, the majority of people are right handed, meaning they will be using their mouse with their right hand. Many left handed people have been trained to use their right hand for mouse control as (from my experience) most school, library and workspace computers feature a computer mouse with button specifications for right-handed users.
