From what I understand, Pokenet was shut down because Nintendo felt that it might tarnish the rep of Pokemon. While there are numerous PokeMMOs out there, most are still in development and Pokenet was nearing completion.

I like the idea. The school can even be a tutorial to PU, introducing new players to the system of PU.

Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 are games MADE for CO-OP, so you can't lose much there. Halo 3 is good for co-op, and you can even play online split-screen. Just be cautious when purchasing a 360... Xboxs have been known to break down randomly, become over heated, etc. and get the ring of death then you need to spend 100 bucks to send it out and get it fixed... But I'll admit other than that the Xbox 360 is AWESOME!
The newer 360 models that were released last year have a much better success rate then their ancestors. Also, you get a 3 year warranty for the RROD (Red Ring of Death), so you don't have to pay for the repair if it does malfunction.

The Socom series is what I used to live for; for online game play anyways. The last PS2 version was called Socom US Navy Seals: Combines Assault.
Bad Ass game, I love it. haven't played in months though, maybe about a year or more now. I miss it :/ <333
Yeah, I think the SOCOM series was the only game that had a legit online community on the PS2. Unfortunately I never got a chance to play it online, but even the single player was awesome.

I've seen a lot of gameplay videos of MW2 on YouTube. It looks like a really fun game. Too bad I don't own any of the new consoles (PS3, Xbox, etc). If I did, I would definitely buy the game!
One question though, is it true that all the guns (or most) have very low recoil?
The majority of videos on youtube involve someone using an SMG or Assault Rifle, which generally don't have that much recoil (in the game). However, the LMGs are a different story, and their recoil is probably why you don't see a lot of videos showcasing them on youtube. Anyways, I think IW did an admirable job following up on COD4. I don't play on PC, but I know they took away dedicated servers, which pissed off a majority of the PC gamers. However, I couldn't really ask for anything more from the console versions, other than the glitches, which were probably Activision's fault more than Infinity Ward's.

I played a final fantasy game before, it was for ps2 but i don't know which one it was, but i stopped playing once i got to a giant robot boss i couldn't beat.
i belive that was VIII,you're supposed to run away from that
Was VIII on the PS2? I always thought X was the first FF game for PS2. OT: My favorite FF game would have to be FFX. The gameplay and combat were awesome and the story was epic, especially with the help of the magnificent cutscenes that put some 360 games to shame. However, the worst would have to be FFXII for me. I never got around to finishing that one...

The 1st and 2nd generations were, imo, the best. Maybe b/c I was young and the experience seemed epic at the time.
