2 on 2/Double Battles

I just wanted to know will there be 2 on 2 or double battles with npc's or other players. Maybe there could be four players that can come together and battle 2 on 2. Just a thought someone please get back to me I would love to here input on this topic.

What we have to offer:

•Trade or sell your obtained Pokémon and items.
•Talk to the players around you or open the world chat to talk to everyone currently online.
•Create your own customizable character (male or female), choosing your own clothes, skin colour, hair, and accessories.

Its stated on the homepage that 2v2 matches would be implemented.

Do not really know of the specifics/limitations of 2v2 but im sure the PU team will shed some light in the near future.
