It depends actully.
I think the game looks cool, and the generall design of the world speaks to me.
But wait forever? No thanks.
Since we are in beta 1st of april, I would think that the final release wouldn´t be that far away.

Note: Not That Far Away=<10years

But yeah, the thing that "worries" me is that nintendo will grow a brain and release their own pokemon mmo and thus making this one obsolet before it´s even is finished.
Im just saying, you never know, they might be working on it now.

Even if they do make a Pokemon MMORPG, it will still be a lot different than PU. The general idea will be the same, but PU will have many features that they won't have. Mostly because it's just too weird for them. E.g. player levels (and everything around it), our own skill system instead of EV's, housing etc. Maybe they will have something like it, but it will always be different. Like all the fantasy MMORPG's, the idea is the same but there is still a big difference between most of them.

The only games I've ever waited for was Madden'06-'10. Those were great because I had a whole year to focus on the game until the next one came out.

Waiting for an online game (that isnt from EA) is kind of different. It should be interesting.

I kind of wish the PU Team was a bit more transparent but I dont blame them.

Im hoping mi expectations arnt too high but Im willing to wait for a while.

It's too bad not many people join our chatbox. Almost all the PU Team members are in there most of the time. We talk about what we're currently doing/making, discuss things about the game etc. Now and then we even post screenshots that never make it to the site. I think the people in the chat are much more up-to-date regarding the development.
I think it's because most people see the chat as the place where you should only come when you want to chat. However, it's perfectly fine to just hang in there and lurk.

I'm not sure how much longer I can wait... I need a new game to play and Xbox 360 has gotten stale.  I've actually been playing Pokemon Gold version for my GBC ha!  Maybe I should get into some PC games - any suggestions??  And not WoW... been ther done that

I was a die hard fan of Star Wars and in particular Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) and as many of you know, when KOTOR II was released it was buggy as hell and unfinished storywise. There was a group of people not unlike the PU team who began a "restoration" project to finish the game as it was supposed to be. Unfortunately, after 6 years of them working, and progress getting slower and slower, I lost interest in the game completely, to the point even if they released it now I wouldn't even download it.

tl;dr -

Forever is a long time, and people's interests change. 6 years from now I will be almost 30, you 14 year olds will be 20 (scary huh) and most people will have moved on to the Next Big Thing.

We won't let that happen. don't worry.

lol? I'm much older than 12 and I get bored of my 360 games. Heck games in general get boring in time.

Anyway, I think people in general will wait as long as there alive for anything they want. Like I'm still waiting for high tech virtual online games to come out. Which probably be available after I die. So whats 2 months?

Bored of the 360 =/= 12 years of age. Just throwing that out there.

I've heard about this game quite some time ago, but waiting isn't really a problem since I have other games to occupy myself until release. To be specific, I guess I'll wait as long as it'll take or until I've moved on from gaming (lol).
