Don't worry about it. You seem to have the qualities of a Poketalker. You see, the ability doesn't awaken until after their first fusion. My clan had many of them. They are gifted in Pokespeech. For now, you will be able to understand your pokemon. Lets see if you understand this. ~~I am a Poketalker, so was my father, and his father. Our job was to communicate with pokemon.~~

I thought about my newfound ability for a moment.

-But if I can talk to pokemon...that means...I can make easy friends with pokemon...Not to mention it'll make communication with them easier.

I stood there for a minute thinking.

I went inside a cave near the clearing we were on, and saw Florence inside.

Not that good at the moment, I'm trying to figure out how to use the air to my advantage, I cant help but feel like I'm forgetting something... Blast it! Why dosen't this necklace at least give a hint! Afterall it IS the necklace of wisdom!

I was still fused, floating in mid-air and shaking the necklace to try and get it to work.

I looked off to the distance. We were on a mountain, training in secret. I figured I would help out too, and try to increase my abilities further. I went up to a tree. Houndoom had the best speed from the others in the clan, and a great mix of attacks. I decided to use that.

I began jumping from tree to tree, launching attacks at random boulders I saw, breaking them, I won't stop until I can hit five in a row before landing at another tree.

(So, in other words, I am training, and to interrupt would be bad. But you can if you want.)

-I assume you're now a Jumpluff because Skiploom evolved, so congrats. Hmm... Maybe try using the wind to your advantage? After all, Jumpluff do use the wind for traveling.

I float out and as soon as I exit the cave I start floating higher and higher... then I realise the wind caught me.

Alright, I've had enough practice with x-fusion, now lets not let all that go to waste!

I started gliding through the air at high speed, using the wind to my advantage and soaring like a Pidgeott.

I finished up my training, I was out of energy.

At least I hit three boulders before landing.

I looked around. There was not a lot left from my training. The rock-slide Shroud caused with his howl made it easy to find some, and I really took my time to hit them.

I wonder how everyone is doing with their training, we may have to head out soon.

I walk over to our makeshift camp.

I yell out in case everyone is far from here.
Hey guys, we should head into town soon to figure out our next phase. We can't stay on this mountain forever.

I look up to see that Florence is talking to Jumpluff, who he can apparently understand now.

Everyone can to an extent, only a few people can talk to other pokemon that they have not fused with. I can tell his fusion ability is different. It usually takes a bit longer for someone to fuse with a newly evolved pokemon, but he got it down in an instant.

I walk in the direction Florence headed.

Well, we better catch up, no use hanging back here. We still have to find one more relic. And we have to find that Marshtomp Tarok. I was a little mean to him, and I want to apologize.

I sit down and start thinking about the Relics. Where would the the last Relic be? The elderly people in my town said something about a relic. Maybe just a coincidence. Naaahhh, there's no relic in Jerome.. I think.

A wild Rattata jumps on me while scratching and biting me. I grab it but it's putting up a fight. I use a small water gun, and it gets knocked off.

Sorry little buddy.. So you were the mysterious glint following me. You must be pretty stealthy. I say to the Rattata.

The Rattata starts to head back into the bush.

Where are Rattata's usually located? Dunno. I say to myself.

I think that the marshtomp guy was walking down that path twards the village, we can kill two birds with one boulder.

I start walking down the path, my face had bandages and patches on it. i was a bit lost in thought on where to go next. There wouldent be one in Jerome, and if there was it's probably in the other half of the forest where it wasent completly obliterated. Mabye we can find something in Obligate.

I'm planning a bit ahead, you guys think we should go to Obligate after our training is ov... ... I cant help but feel like I forgot soemthing.

meanwhile...

At the tournament in Obligate, a Pignite fusionist is fighting a Graveler fusionist. The Graveler uses a rock throw and rock slide combo, but the Pignite trainer uses mach punch to counter, knocking out the Graveler fusionist.

And the winner is Fiore! Congratulations!

He stands on a pyramid-like stand and holds up a trophy. Splash walks up to him.

Weird, wasent Florence supposed to be in the tournament?

He must be on some important errand or something, back to gloating!
