I don't think we should have an infinite amount of money, but the money that we earn from battling or selling items should not be limited to $999,999.

Although there is a limit in the traditional game, I don't think there should be a limit in PU. Especially since we don't know how money will be distributed in PU. For instance, in PWO, their money can go into the millions and their auction houses often do have bids that high.

Most MMOs don't have a limit. If PU does, then I think there should only be a limit to how much a person can hold at a time, but that still seems like a pain.

You could divide the money in kinda 'cents and dollars'... just to make sure that there will be no 1million bids.

I think the money you're able to hold onto should be infinite. It's your hard earned money, so if you're rich then it's not you're fault. Why be punished by putting a cap on it?

As for the problem for the auction house, I guess PU will have to put a cap on the items.
For example:

 Item---------Lowest CAP------Player average price-----PU TEAMS High CAP
Potion......................$1.............................$700...........................$2,000
Pokeball..................$1.............................$450............................$1,200

The 2k cap is just so players can't chansey up the economy with wanted to selling a potion for $30,000.

(this was only an example, I know you can buy these from the pokemart), but you might be in a pinch inside of a cave, and you don't want to leave, so someone might sell it to you for 1k, when we know it's worth 700.

Anyways expand on the idea. I lost my train of thought.

cap on item prices? lol? its just the point, that a player, able to make an extremely strong potion, is allowed to take every price he wants to, as long hes the only one able to. the prices are lower, the more people are able to make the potion...

if you put caps on item prices, you kill the whole business system xD

for your cave example: yea... it is like that! you need it, i got it. so we have to negotiate... caps would kill everything!

well i know for sure when a shop sells a lot of pokeballs (compared to other shops) the pokeball price in that shop becomes higher.

There will be no cap on the maximum money you can have, however there will be a cap on how much you can carry with you at the time.

Lol, well the team seems to have a plethora of amazing ideas, so I doubt they'd allow a mom system like that in this game. =P
