Pokemon #18, Pidgeot, Normal/Flying type, Bird pokemon.
Intro: Pidgeot is the final evolution of Pidgey and Pidgeotto. It looks roughly the same as Pidgeotto, with similar brown and cream feathers, and a black marking behind its eye, though it has grown much bigger. Pidgeot is roughly twice the size of a human. Its plumage is only different from Pidgeotto in that its tail feathers are only pink, and the feathers on his head have gained a broad yellow band in the middle, and those feathers are roughly the size of its body.
Habitat: Pidgeot is hardly ever seen as a wild pokemon. Although Pidgeotto evolves by level, none actually do so without the guidance of a trainer. The only wild Pidgeot are those released by a trainer.
Diet: Pidgeot has the same predatory urges as Pidgeotto, but it is able to hunt bigger prey than its prevolution. However, most Pidgeot only eat industrial or handmade pokemon food, as do most pokemon in companionship of a trainer.
Biology: Pidgeot can fly extremely fast. There is evidence of it being able to fly at a speed past Mach 2 (2125 km/h). However, Pidgeot will not fly at this speed often, as the sonic boom generated by passing the sound barrier is extremely damaging to its body. Generally, Pidgeot will perform a Quick Attack at a speed slightly below the speed of sound.
Pidgeot's overall physique is extremely well-developed. Its chest muscles are powerful enough to create gusts strong enough to bend trees, and its claws are lethal weapons. It can perform the move Hurricane without breaking a sweat. Pidgeot's vision is also very good, it is able to spot prey in the water at an altitude of 10000 m. It can swoop down from up high, skim across the water and pick up unaware prey such as Magikarp before they realize what happened.
Pidgeot is one of the strongest carriers in the bird kingdom. It is able to carry several humans on its back at once without losing maneuverability or speed. It is also extremely proficient at using the move Sky Drop, and will carry enemies to altitudes of 2000 m before dropping them to their doom.
Thanks to its beautiful, dazzling plumage, Pidgeot is much-loved amongst trainers. This causes many trainers to choose Pidgey as a partner, and walk the long path of training it towards becoming a Pidgeot.
Pokemon League commission notes:
Class F. Pidgeot is only obtainable through evolution. Although the evolution is not limited by special means such as trading or stones, natural occurences of Pidgeotto have not been observed and the PLC deemed it fitting to specify Pidgeot as a Class F pokemon.
