My secnd idiotic reason is because of Metal Gear Solid series. I'm sure all who have played can guess why.

Bulbasaur, mostly because iv chosen the grass starter since pokemon blue and red came out unless i got the other games then i ended up getting the other starters, also iv been using the grass starter in my first game in every region, bulbasaur, chikorita, Treeko. Turtwig, and im gonna pick snivy when black and white come out, force of habit i guess

squirtle. He was my first pokémon ever (raised it to lvl 100 without rarecandies). He also fits in my current team perfectly (rapid spinner+water type+ice beamer)

I posted earlier, and in that time I've been playing platinum and I grown a liking toward chimchar. So basically, i'll start with charmander then obtain a chimchar either trading one or catching one.
