Don't really see the point to a NPC companion character. I really don't. Unless you let your training slip, and have really weak Pokemon... but still they tend to get in the way more to help.

I dont see a point in having companion characters in a pokemon game where traditionally you stick it out on your own. If you want people to help you in battle get a friend to do a double battle with you. Thats why its an MMO.

I agree with Viper, surely the whole point of joining an MMO is that any quests are done with friends?
