For me i use Empolion as a special sweeper: Surf, Grass Knot, Ice Beam, and Flash Cannon

My empoleon knows the exact same moves except for grass knot. I still havent decided between drill peck or earthquake. The only reason I havent gone with earthquake is because I was fighting a shedinja and all I had was my empoleon so im very glad I kept drill peck.

(Who mod's 'N'? Or is it just a random trainer anyone can control just for RP purposes?)

Xhizor kept walking down the route, battling many trainers when possible. Eventually, Xhizor saw a cave. He looked at the sign and found out that it was "DARK CAVE". He went inside only for a little while to explore it. When he was about to leave, he saw a pokemon by the entrance. Xhizor checked his pokedex to see which pokemon it was. It was a Kibago.
-"I think I should catch this pokemon" said Xhizor
He sent out Treecko to fight it.
-"Treecko, use quick attack!" he said
Treecko attacked the pokemon at blinding speed
The Kibago attacked Treecko with dragon rage
-"Treecko use absorb" he said
Treecko regained quite a bit of health
Xhizor grabbed a pokeball and quickly threw it at the Kibago. It shook a few times then stopped. Xhizor picked up the pokeball and left the cave.

I am still concerned about one thing. What are we gonna do about the "reverse mode" effect. We wouldn't be able to "call" them if our only icons are pokemon, bag, run, and fight.

Xhizor finally made it to Cherrygrove City. The first thing he did was go to the pokemon center to heal his pokemon. After that, he checked his map again and to see where he should be headed to next.
-"Looks like Violet city is our next destination, but first, let go get something to eat" he said.
They went to the nearest restaurant and ate.
They waited a little while before leaving because they were so stuffed. They paid for their meal and they left the restaurant. Xhizor checked the description about the town and he noticed that it had a gym in it.
-"Cool, our first gym battle is coming up. You prepared Treecko?" he asked
Treecko nodded
-All right then, lets be on our way" he said.

Xhizor walked down the road to the next town when suddenly he spotted something strange along the road. Xhizor moved closer to it and saw that it was a pokemon. Xhizor checked his pokedex to see what kind of pokemon it was. Apparently, it was a Murkrow.
-"You ready to fight Treecko?" asked Xhizor
Tree, Tree
-"Quickly, use quick attack"said Xhizor
Treecko successfully hit it, knocking it back a few feet.
The murkrow attacked with peck hitting Treecko pretty hard
-"Now Trecko, use absorb"
Treecko regained some health.
The Murkrow came at Treecko very fast using wing attack
-Dodge it Treecko and use absorb again
Treecko dodged it and once again gained some health
Xhizor quickly reached into his bag and pulled out a pokeball. He quickly threw it at the Murkrow. The Murkrow was sucked into the pokeball and started to shake. After a few shakes, the pokeball stopped moving. Xhizor picked up the pokeball and put it away.
-"Great job Treecko" Xhizor said smiling.
Tree, Tree
Xhizor and Treecko kept walking down the path so that they could reach the next town as soon as possible.

Xhizor had just awaken. He was about to start his journey in the Johto region. He quickly got ready and picked up the pokeball on his desk.
"-Today's the day our journey begins Treecko, I hope you're ready" said Xhizor
Just then, the pokeball popped open and Treecko came out.
-"You want to be outside" he asked.
-Treecko nodded.
-"All right then, lets get going" said Xhizor.
And so they made way toward the nearest city which happened to be Cherrygrove City.
