Hey i got GIMP but 2 things
1.)how do you get pictures into gimp.
2.)how do you get them onto a website.

By the way, I've been trying to do stuff on MS paint while waiting for my signature. While I can't do much of anything you could use, it has been fun. Maybe I'll try a trainer card..

yea there are free programs that work the same as photoshop, they are gimp and paint.net i learned how to make signatures on paint.net originally so yeah

I am sorry to inform everyone, but my computer has officially crashed and i just got it fixed, unfortunately was unable to get my photoshop back so to all those with requests, i am unable to fulfill them, i wish i would've had time to do these request before hand but unfortunately that wasn't they case i will tell you all once i get photoshop again, for now im hoping that my fellow shop workers can finish the current requests, thank you

You can paste a copied image to GIMP, or open the image through File>>Open>> and you browse.

To upload, you simply save in a format like .jpg, .png in the name of your image itself (Ex. Test.png) and you can upload the image like any other image on the web.

I don't work with GIMP, so I wouldn't know, but a note; if you save a sprite and then open it, the background is clear. If you copy it and paste it, however, it will be black. So, keep that in mind.

I don't get what you mean... anyway, on my version of gimp, whatever picture you open/paste will be as it is. If there is a white background, it'll be kept, if there is a transparent background, that'll be kept too. The transparent background for me is represented by tiles of grey and darker grey.

I meant this; if you right click on an image, and choose to Copy Image, it's the same thing as copying text. Then, you can go into paint.NET and paste the copied image. The thing is, that if you copy an image that has a transparent background, it will automatically change it to a black background.

Just a friendly tip. It's usually better to save the pictures, unless you have a small harddrive. (I actually have every Pokemon's sprite + there shiny version saved for DPPt and HGSS.)

Ah, now I think I understand. You were telling that when one pastes a picture, one might be surprised that the background isn't the same, because the original image has a transparent background.

I too have all of these sprites (plus their icons, and some more), I only need the shiny ones now.
