I know another way!

- Fill the 3 litre jug again, and pour 2 litres in the remaining volume of the 5 litre jug.
- You are left with 1 litre in the smaller jug. Empty the 5 litre jug and pour in the 1 litre.
- Fill the 3 litre jug completely, and pour it in the 5 litre jug.

Ok, so I was going to use this question in a video....only because i had yet a third way (which i thought of first), but since two people already answered it, I think I will just discuss it here instead....also, Raikt, I was trying to follow your answer, and maybe I missed some detail, or maybe you didn't explain it properly, but it didn't seem to make sense.

Jerry, yeah, that's how I did it too. Take that computer science, creative thinking test, thingy. Will you hire me now Steve Jobs?

Anyway, my third answer is a little easier, but then again, also less accurate. I figure, especially depending on the radius of the jugs, and if the two different sized jugs are otherwise identical, that 3L and 5L really aren't that far apart. For simplicity sake, I would place them side by side, and then just fill the water to the half way point between the two jugs.

Actually, now that I think about it, this could be the most theoretically accurate way. If you fill the water to the brim on the jugs, you are likely to spill some in the process, therefore losing some of the exact measurements.
But I digress.

Great news, I have finished filming/editing the second video.
