Year 13: Promises (Full Version.)
« on: September 15, 2010, 04:03:02 AM »
(Sorry I took so long, Just note This Will be Fairly long. I MIGHT do a Pt VI, keep looking.)

I walked into my school, I noticed everyone was avoiding me, but I didn't care, there was one person I wanted to talk to: Leo. He stood there talking with his techie pals.

"....1 Mbps is relatively slow, 1 Gbps is impossible, that speed has yet to be reached. My Speed is usually around 36-48 Mbps, which is fairly high. Oh... Hey, Kara!"
"Hi, Leo. Can I talk to you alone for a bit?"
"Sure, Guys, can you excuse me? I'll see you all later..... So, What did you wanna talk about, Kara?"
"Well, It just seems sometimes like you aren't yourself, you OK?"
"Now that you mention it, I do kind of feel odd, I didn't notice it earlier, but it seems like there's something missing, deep inside my soul, like someone's trying to call me home. Maybe I- maybe I'm Just lonely."
"How can you be lonely? You have tons of friends."
"Yes, That's true, but I need something beyond just friends I can geek out with. I need....someone."
"I'm starting to understand what you're trying to say, you need more than a friend, someone close to you....someone to become a part of you."
I had a feeling he knew I  understood him, which he confirmed. He placed his hand gingerly onto my arm, I looked at him, smiled warmly, then mimicked his action. Then, he fell, through the window he stood by. My mouth was agape, because the window was bolted into the wall, surrounded by bricks, and stretched 2 floors. The window just fell out, along with a few bricks. I looked down from the second floor, and I saw him lying on the shattered window, unconcious, and his body was soaked in blood. The frame of the window was slightly distorted, bent.

I pulled out my cell phone, I managed to hit '91-' before my English teacher came up to me, an grasped my phone.
"You know the rules, No cell phones during School. I have to confiscate it."
" No! I have to use it, its an emergency!"
"Do you have any idea how many times I've heard that line? Hand it over."
"You dont understand, my friend fell out the window. Are you blind?"
"Yeah, right, that window is fastened tight as can be."
"If you are that sure, look for yourself."
He released his grip, turned around, and he said in shock.
"Go ahead, use it. Im so sorry."
(<>= Person on the other end)
<911 Emergency Hotline, how can I help you?>
"Hi, Im Kara, I go to Seriah City High School, and my friend fell out of a window, can't miss him, he's laying on a window. Please hurry."
I said this disdainfully.

<Ok, an Ambulance will be at Seriah High soon, keep watching them.>

Minutes went by, then the Ambulance arrived. The nurse inside helped me put Leo into the stretcher, then she checked him.
"Your friend is very lucky, normally a leg wound would kill someone in about 3 minutes, but he has about 5 minutes left, if we dont do something soon.... Ah, We're here."

I was told everything would be fine, that Leo was in good hands. I waited patiently as they treated him, praying that he would survive.

A voice rang clear, in my head, I recognized it as Leo's.
"I'll be okay, Kara, don't worry."
I looked up to the ceiling and smiled.

Sounds like the convo we had in the chitchat thread or on IRC not very long ago :o

Okay, will be keeping an eye for them! :)
No one can go back and change a bad beginning; but anyone can start now and create a successful ending.
If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it. If it cannot be solved what is the use of worrying?

Currently playing Pokemon XY/ORAS/Shuffle and Clash of Clans and testing out PokemonRevolutionOnline and Dragonmon Hunter....
Also, forum notification emails are not getting in my inbox... again...

Aha! I remember this! Jerry was saying he had 1 Mbps, because Muaritus has lame internets. The fact that I remember it means that it did not take place in IRC.

Anyways, good job, though I feel as if the teacher would have been inclined to do a bit more than let a kid call 911 if one of their students was bleeding out in a pile of rubble.
