This says it all.

Gotta go all out here otherwise your just gonna be of the rest

I liked the 17 trainers idea because of the one type teams, even if they all share a weakness its a good idea and a challenge. But making an exception for even one pokemon kills the entire idea.

Agreed.

I would like to be a part of the challenge if its going to be enforced like Chad says it will. Only reason i left is cause it was turning into something besides single type team trainers.

@Chad. I would like to re-apply for the Bug position if you don't mind.

Interesting choice giving all your guys a choice item. Whats your plan? lead with ninjask then baton pass the bonuses to another guy then OHKO everything? quite possibly could work, however i would recommend giving ninjask focus sash. This guarantees him at least one swords dance before he baton passes because he cant be OHKO, which the only defense to that is fake out but not many people use that. Or is that not your plan? Oh and also apparently the team took out stealth rocks so replace that with spikes. Hate that they did that but oh well. And another thing, i would replace yanmegas giga drain with air slash to give him the STAB bonus, plus its a good move with flinch chance. Everything else seems good i guess :)

I think Ninjask and Forretress should be given attack moves. X Scossor and Gyro Ball respectively. That, and what the other poster said about stealth rock and all.

Thanks

And yeah i know a lot of choice items are bad but i switch out a lot to get the move i need that one of my other Pokemon may have. This build here has won me multiple turnys on smogon shoddy battle.

I'll probably just switch out forretress. Only had it mainly for rapid spin cause stealth rock eats my team for breakfast...since we cant use it i guess ill go with another. perhaps a shuckle wall with Acupressure. Only got that combo to work like two times but it was so fun to see little shuckle become a god.

Edit: How about this:

Shuckle:       Leftovers       Sturdy
Toxic
Encore / Acupressure
Rest
Protect / Gyro Ball                      248 HP / 252 Def

Yanmega:   Choice Specs    Tinted Lens
Bug Buzz
Air Slash
Hidden Power Ground
U-turn                            252 SpA / 252 Spe

Heracross:  Flame Orb   Guts
Swords Dance
Close Combat
Megahorn
Stone Edge                       252 Atk / 252 Spe

Pinsir:   Life Orb   Mold Breaker
Swords Dance
X-Scissor
Earthquake
Stone Edge        252 Atk / 252 Spe

Ninjask:         focus sash      speed boost
Swords Dance
Baton Pass
Substitute
Aerial Ace    176 HP / 252 Atk / 80 Spe

Scizor:     Choice Band    Technician
U-turn
Bullet Punch
Superpower
Pursuit                        248 HP / 252 Atk

Pretty good team. couple things tho, is your shuckle going to be your lead? I would still recommend ninjask as lead. And also on your move choices for shuckle, chose Acupressure and gyro ball from that list. Actually maybe dont go gyro ball.... if acupressure raises your speed it would be weakened. Maybe give him rock slide instead to get the stab and use it after you get the two attack stage boost in attack.

so it must be one type and one type only huh?... thats fine by me then im using flying hands down.

but are u ppl forgetting the most famous dragon trainer ever lance uses a red gyarados? Bruno a fighting trainer who uses rock types as well? and the first elite 4 member of the first generation the ice trainer who used a slowbro...  the list can go on and on but they were all famous one type trainers who had more than one type.... u think losing roloc was bad were prolly about to lose half that list doing it this way... i just have to have a charizard everyone can't play the game long enough to create two full teams but they still wanna use their favs... idk well im kinda ok with the rule cuz it makes my job easier.

fling team:

charizard
mantine -even tho i hate this pokemon
aerodactyl -even tho i hate this pokemon
dragonite
scyther
yanmega

seriously tho whats a team without a starter? how can u make an electric team and plan to stop earthquake? i just don't think its fair to ppl who use certain types.

For them, it's a challenge and when they manage to win, they feel that they won much more than just a simple match.

Who ever said that the Elite 4 specialise in only one type of pokemon? Nobody ever said that.
No one can go back and change a bad beginning; but anyone can start now and create a successful ending.
If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it. If it cannot be solved what is the use of worrying?

Currently playing Pokemon XY/ORAS/Shuffle and Clash of Clans and testing out PokemonRevolutionOnline and Dragonmon Hunter....

Magnet rise is one of many simple ways for electric teams to counter ground. I have a bug team but i make sure to be prepared to fight rock and fire teams. rock attacks for fire and fighting for rock. just know your weakness of your team and do your best to compensate it.
then when you win...its just like Jerry said.

I realise that some types don't lend themselves well to a mono team, and it's true that the elite four wasn't strictly pure like the gym leaders were. Doing it this way will help us differentiate ourselves. I don't really mean to take your idea and go in a direction you really don't want to go, though. I'm still kind of on the fence.
