Um, Aqua, Monferno cushioned the attack, so that he was hit, but tried to receive less damage from it. As for your post, you got hit with Torment, so you can't use the same attack again :-\

First leads to yes, Monferno got it.
Second, is up to you, but Torment bears an accuracy of 100...
