"Shiny" Pokemon
« on: November 12, 2010, 05:07:36 PM »
fear not, this isn't the same "shiny pokemon" post i read through for a few hours yesterday to make sure i wasn't reposting something. To my point; it seems as though many people like the lore behind how the shiny function works in game, but they're upset about how easy it will be to obtain shiny pokeon. My idea while rather difficult i think (sorry) is to add in a 2nd level of shiny. Something along the lines of albino maybe, where to get them is more how the shiny pokemon are obtained in gold and silver version (by being the luckiest of all your friends XD) and just having one pop up out of no-where. i'm not saying make albino pokemon either just a different kind of shiny of sorts. (preferably not shiny 2 or something, would be rather boring) just an idea to think about. and again if its already been suggested i'm sorry i read for hours on the shiny pokemon posts.

Well, the idea of albino too was suggested...

Shiny pokemon only have a different colour and doesn't necessarily mean more powerful. I don't see the use of making yet another rare 'type' of pokemon... I think that pokemon is firstly about strategy and battle. If one wants to collect shiny, let him/her be.
No one can go back and change a bad beginning; but anyone can start now and create a successful ending.
If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it. If it cannot be solved what is the use of worrying?

Currently playing Pokemon XY/ORAS/Shuffle and Clash of Clans and testing out PokemonRevolutionOnline and Dragonmon Hunter....
Also, forum notification emails are not getting in my inbox... again...

Of course, there are some pokemon that could use some improvement on their shiny color scheme...
Adding another variation of shiny to the game with a higher rarity might be interesting... though I think that these should be purely seasonal.
Ex - They only have a chance of appearing during december, and then it's the same odds of encountering shiny.

yeah i like the seasonal idea, i just threw out albino cuz i really couldn't think of another thing at that time haha. just some variant to color schemes. because pokemon like blissey are just a shade lighter, and that kinda defeats the purpose of "shiny" pokemon. and kind of makes me wonder if i've missed shiny pokemon in my years of leveling characters.

Useless reply FTW.
If you don't actually have something to add, then please don't reply.

Now:
The "gay pink" of Swampert is proof that this is a viable system. The point of getting a shiny pokemon would be mainly to show it off. Who REALLY wants to show off a pink Swampert?

i agree that should be wonderfull to have the pokemons in other color always they are not so extremly powerfull than the original pokemon, also that means that its hability has to be diferent, so in some cases its no so good
