What if you did a runescape style setup, with different skills to train, examples of which could be

breeding - trained by, well breeding Pokemon

battling - again does what it says on the box

training - leveling up Pokemon

contests - putting your Pokemon in contests

researching - filling out the Pokedex

and so on and so forth ,the possibilities are endless .
This would be people different choices instead of just battling, and so it would attract more people to come and play the game!! I think this would be a great addition, but ultimately its up to you!

Sounds like a good plan, but I think there is already a talent tree-like system to EV-train your pokémon. You might train fishing instead?

I think that PU is working on something like that, most probably associated with the trainer level that is being implemented.

But yeah. The EV system has been up in the air for a while now.

this would be very good for guilds that have a signiture pokemon you can have one person that has very high training skill catches the sig pokemon then trains it faster than anyone else in the guild could and then gives one to new members

That doesn't sound like any fun... It just sounds like someone using others to slack off.

I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think that is possible. I might have (big might) read it somewhere that trading a high level Pokémon to a low level trainer will not be allowed. Even if I didn't read that anywhere, it still wouldn't make sense, since the Beginner Trainer would not be able to control such a high level Pokémon, so it would be a tough guy to take down but would not listen to it's Trainer.

The initial beta release will not contain all features. It will only be a base with the bare minimum of features. Over time we will release game updates which will introduce new features.
