What's your favorite Pokémon region

in all honesty i think orange islands may be a little bit higher on my likes list than the other regions in general, just because, well, its awesome it changed a lot of what pokemon was like then of course they went back to normal gym battling and such

I'd have to say Johto. I'm horribly biased as G/S/C was my favourite gen, but I just loved it.

Hoen and Sinnoh..

Why?

Well,i felt in ,any regions,all you did whas become the champion,then all ended.Poof,really no reason to keep playing.

Hoen changed it for the first time,Battle Frontier helped give the sense that the pokémon world wasn't just a bunch of regions.And the story in Hoen whas awesome,altough Archie and Maxie sucked as boss battles -.-

Sinnoh whas the breaker of the fanhood.Noone whas ready for wath the 4th gen added.So it whas like a fresh new feeling.Like re-learning pokémon from the start.And not to mention alot of interesting pokémon.And yet again,that sense of not being stuck at endgame with the return of Battle Frontier.And also touching storyline.

There whas no boss like Cyrus whas,all villians should be like him.Emotionless,and Goal Striving.

As you can predict I like Sinnoh the best.

PS:Unova sucked,fail pokémon,fail region,fail storyline.Altough the hero and the dragon part whas cool

How the hell haven't I replied to this topic.

I suppose this goes strictly for the region itself, so I'd have to pick between Johto and Hoenn. Hoenn was great, since the improved graphics over the previous games' 8-bit allowed the creation of the desert and snowy areas. However I'll pick Johto. Silver was my first game, so it might be a bit biased but then again what opinions here wouldn't be biased in such a way? I wouldn't consider them biased.

I liked Johto compared to Kanto because of the rural feeling it had to it. There's just grass and trees everywhere. Even in towns. Kanto is pretty much an urban region. It also introduced night/day, which was really more immersive, and the music on it helped it, it was more complex than the music in Kanto, and felt more adventurous.

Johto it is.

Well, actually having to choose between regions, it would have to be hoenn. Hoenn is my favorite, next to kanto. What happened to unova? It has some weird looking pokemon like druddigon. It has like three water types,(oshawott, basculin, and panpour) not counting the evolutions. Gurdurr looks like a clown, and its evolution is even worse.

hoenn? i think it is called with the totodiles and stuff? and then orre(which is what i think is both Pokemon XD gale of darkness and Pokemon Colosseum). and then sinnoh
