Personally, I think that being able to earn money whislt offline wouldn't work. It would not only be lazy, but would also could mess up the economy with some players being able to make money by doing very little.

To add to that the value would decrease if someone can just rack up cash while not online and come back a month
later and be rich

Well, I don't quite like that argument... because when it concerns shops, a player cannot get more money than the money he gets from items and how many items can be put on sale?

But if daycare was put into that, then yes, this can be an issue, though the way I think this would work would be to have some machine/NPC at the place of the pokemon breeder (who won't be online at that time) to make the check ins and outs of their pokemon. Otherwise, people would have their pokemon locked in a daycare they can't even have access to...
No one can go back and change a bad beginning; but anyone can start now and create a successful ending.
If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it. If it cannot be solved what is the use of worrying?

As I don't plan on using any daycare service I can't really relate to your argument, but yeah that would piss me off.

Another way to look at it is this: Employees. Bam, just like that the offline problem is solved. Being able to "employ" people from all around the world, with different time zones would allow people to have access to any user created business at all times. Still, I don't think you should earn Pokedollars while you are offline, trust me I would take advantage of that, unless your buisness was one that allowed the customers to use it with no moderation of money. They pay, they get to enter and use the service. But that could still breed laziness, so having the money deposited into some kind of bank that the owner then has to withdraw could help with that. Ideas...

We should be able to rob stores using an evil pokemon like lovedisk :) j\k  y wouldnt we just shop at regular stores? Will breeders breed beter pokemon than the  ingame breeders?

ingame breeders don't breed your pokemon. They give you an egg and send you on your merry way. Breeders do the nature and IV hunting for you.

I agree that could be a problem, but there are ways to prevent that. One, like Jerry mentioned already, he would earn at most the amount of money his items are worth (he sets the price). That doesn't mean that his items WILL bought, it is just a possibility. Also we can introduce a time limit, which if expires, so does his shop. So he would have to log in and set up a new shop, preventing him to be idle and just gain money. So it would work like an Auction Item on Bid, if the Time expires, it is taken off the bid, and you have to set up a new one.

No you see what he meant is that you don't have to go through that process. The breeder will do that for you.

What they could do is have the player "employ" an NPC while offline, that way people can still have access to their pokemon/eggs, and you still get money. Just don't give it to your mom, she'll just spend it on berries and drugs.
