[RP] Surviving Dead Island

Plot

It has been ten years, three weeks and four days since the tragic Banoi outbreak, the island was quarantined, its inhabitants, both alive and dead were exterminated. Life goes on. The events that took place have long been forgotten by the general population, as far as they knew the outbreak was an act of bio-terrorism perpetrated by some shadowy organization, the exact details are shrouded in mystery and hidden behind a fog of conspiracy theories. No one knows for certain what happened and for the most part, they don't care. It is a just tragic story from a far away place, one that has no real bearing on their lives. Like all other things, it was on the news for about a month before it faded away. Fears have died down, no one asks questions any more. While the island of Banoi remains under government quarantine, tourism has returned to the other tropical paradise islands near by. The boats still sail to and fro, the surfers dot the waves and families lounge happily in the tropical sunshine.

Of course, That is all about to change for the unsuspecting inhabitants of Isla Tulai. Ten years ago a sailboat washed ashore on a remote section of beach, a rocky and unappealing section, people rarely traveled there and so it was ignored and gradually sand began to accumulate against its hull. It sat in peace, a tomb long since abandoned and forgotten. That is until a few of the local youths discovered it. They pulled the hatch open and descended into the boat, inside there were bodies, a dozen of them. Unbeknownst to the teenagers who discovered the wreck, the boat had packed the boat full of survivors as they fled Banoi ten years ago, some one board were infected and needless to say no one survived the trip. Trapped inside the boat the infected starved and died. Now these bodies were but skeletons. Even the leathery flesh that once adorned them has been decomposed by the sweltering tropical conditions. Upon seeing the skeletons the teens scrambled out in shock, in the panic to flee one of them cut his hand on a rusty bolt out and fell down into the midst of the body pile. His wound came into contact with the bones of the infected and that was enough. There are some things even time cant kill, this virus is one of them. The boy lay at home, getting sicker and sicker. No one could have known what he would turn into.

Before long it will start all over again, the dead will walk the streets once more. The inhabitants of Tulai are about to discover the gruesome truth behind the tragedy of Banoi. Surely the government can not cover up a second outbreak... but does it even matter? You're stuck here, all hell has broken lose. Frankly you could care less about what the government can or can not keep a secret. You're only concern at the moment should be your own survival. Best of luck, maybe you can live long enough to tell your story... but I doubt it.

Rules

No killing players without consent.
No copying any real world group.
There is no cure for the disease so being bitten is a problem.
Romance is allowed no XXX there can be a light kiss etc.
Please the more gore the better.
No gmodding VERY strict.
Make your posts as long as possible, there are warnings. 3 sentences at least.

more details on backstory, plus, in a open world rp you need to mention that there are multiple types of weapons you can get, you dont need to stay with only 1 weapon, as well as make custom weapons

A map would be nice, also I suggest a little more plot, something to hook people on, and maybe a actual story line so it can be ended.

Also, if you die will you be able to make a new Character?
