Yeah, you could include large multiplayer games such as those. Maybe include a rock-paper-scissors type game, but with 5 different pokemon types to make it more interesting and have less tying. Sort of like Rock, paper, scissors, lizard, spock from the Big Bang Theory.

Can someone think of something that works?

Well... for the rock, paper, scissor idea, I think I prefer something different than simple. For the replacement of rock,..., game, perhaps Pokemon's own version of card games. ^^ Or maybe something fun and creative that does not encounter the idea of "battling." Since Battle Frontier has already taken that fundamental idea.

Maybe something like what Pokemon Puzzle League was all about. There could be a puzzle game much like PPL.

• Casino Games - can play poker, Blackjack, roulette, and other games like in the casino in Red, Blue, and Yellow. Could play for money or rare pokemon.

• Fishing/Bug catching contest- Just like in Gold, Silver, and Crystal. Biggest bug or fish wins. cash prize for the biggest one and you can keep what you catch.

• Safari Zone - It's not really a mini game in the sense that you compete against people but it is different from regular training and catching.

Yeah, but with only three it is easy to tie, and can get boring. If you can have five types, it would be better.

Instead of rock paper scissors, perhaps make a system where "Damage move">"Stat move", "Stat move">"Healing moves", and "Healing move">"Damage move"

Damage moves will include all the moves which cause damage.
Stat moves will include all moves which cause a stat increase/decrease or status effect.
Healing moves will include all recovery moves.

Many players enter the game.
They don't have to choose a pokemon.
They only choose one of the three.

Then, the machine will use a random move: damage, status or healing move.
If a player beats the machine, or draws with the machine, (s)he gets to the next round, with same procedure, until only one player is left.
If the machine wins, well, the other players lose and no one wins the prize.

What do you think? Questions?
No one can go back and change a bad beginning; but anyone can start now and create a successful ending.
If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it. If it cannot be solved what is the use of worrying?

Sounds good, but maybe add some more on to it.
-Both players have 100 health.
-If one player uses a damage move, and the other a stat move, the person who used the damage move does 10 damage to the other player.
-If one player uses a heal move, and the other a damage move, the one who used a heal move heals 10 health.
-If one player uses a stat move, and the other a heal move, the player who used the stat move's next heal or damage deals 2x as much damage or heals 2x as much health.

This game would have much more strategy involved than Rock Paper Scissors, and be a lot more fun  :)

Yes, what you suggested requires much more stragegy, and my basic idea had to do more with luck.

Maybe have them separate with the 'basic' mini game and the 'advanced' mini game. :)
What I want to add to your suggestions:
- After using two stat moves in a row: x2.5 next move (damage and healing)
- After using three stat moves in a row: x3.5 next move (damage and healing)
- After using three damage moves in a row: x2 damage next damage move only
- After using four damage moves in a row: x3 damage next damage move only
- After using three healing moves in a row: x2 damage next healing move only
- After using four healing moves in a row: x3 damage next healing move only

This will make the player less certain which strategy and opens a variety of different outcomes:
Only attack?
Boost up then attack?
Or keep as much HP as possible then we'll see?
Mixture of strategies?
etc.
No one can go back and change a bad beginning; but anyone can start now and create a successful ending.
If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it. If it cannot be solved what is the use of worrying?
